We had an excellent lunch here. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. They even took care of our two dogs. Pleasant and safe surroundings and food really good.

We enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast and dessert at this restaurant today. The staff was very friendly and efficient in clearing our tables. We would definitely come back and recommend this place.

What a treat we had! Fish, chips and peas, scampi chips and peas. Beautifully presented and piping hot. Delivered for free by a lovely lady. Ordered and paid for online and delivered in a socially distanced way. We’ll be ordering again soon!

Perfect roast dinner and pudding today! We had a good look at the menu and will definitely be back. The menu is varied and very reasonably priced, which is a breath of fresh air. The staff were both friendly and efficient, all worked really hard.

Unpretentious pub with good food. We went early for dinner so it wasn’t very busy but service was friendly and food was delicious. Teenager had cod, chips and peas (ate the lot), Mum had breaded plaice, Dad has roast beef (commented that there was not one piece of fat or gristle) and I had the special, home made chicken Kiev which didn’t look great but was delicious. Very reasonable prices too.

I ordered the hunters chicken and it was the worst I have ever had in my life. The waitress took it back because the bacon was overly crispy, the chicken was stringy, and the grilled cheese was like cardboard. The chef came out to ask me why I had complained and brought a small portion of the food that had been taken away on a plate (not the burnt charred bits). He made me feel ridiculous for not eating the food. I would recommend avoiding this pub.

As these are tricky times to go out to celebrate we made use of their food delivery service to celebrate a special birthday a 91st!!! We enjoyed the mixed meat roast for three. The food arrived hot and absolutely on time delivered by a lovely, cheerful driver. It was all very tasty with plenty of delicious gravy. We also had the apple tart and jam sponge pudding which were equally good. We really hope to enjoy sampling the rest of the menu on future occasions!!

I went to this restaurant for dinner on Friday and I couldn't find any faults with the food or service - it was excellent all around. The manager and staff were lovely and the food was very good. The French onion soup was the best we've ever had, and the roast beef and steak and kidney pie were delicious, served with nice fresh vegetables in generous portions. I have to mention the waffle with cream, it was delicious. We will definitely be returning for more. Please thank the chef for the wonderful soup.

Decided to eat here on a Sunday evening after looking on Facebook and Tripadvisor, we did phone some other local pubs but they all stopped serving food! We was looking for dinner around 7pm! So was starting to get disheartened! Called The Sun Inn they answered straight away and was very helpful on the phone and took our booking! Try Not to make this too long but Basically the food Is 10/10!! We had roast dinners and lasagna and they were all absolutely delicious! Food took about 45mins but absolutely was worth the wait and sometimes it’s nice to actually have some down time before food! No rushing in and rushing out!
