The Denby Lodge - Speisekarte

I've never been here before, parking was no drama, big car park, the food was average, the service was ok, would I come back, more than likely not, there are much better places locally to visit but never say never.

The staff at this restaurant were impolite, attempting to clear away our meals while we were still eating. The food was lukewarm and lacking flavor. When we ordered desserts, we felt like we were inconveniencing them, with the older lady serving us showing no manners. It felt like she was bothered by taking our order.

We walked in and the two staff behind the bar ignored us. Eventually we were acknowledged and we asked if we could have a table for lunch very bad atmosphere and was shown rudely to a table. It was so bad that we didn't feel welcome and so we left. Have been many times and never had an experience like this. We won't be going back. Speisekarte ansehen

Awful. Really bad. Surly staff is one thing, but the food was also dire. Mine was genuinely inedible! It has been a very long time since I have left food. The steak is cut straight from a shoe, the rest just seemed to be badly reheated frozen stuff. It 's what used to be called 'meal in a basket ' bar food decades ago. Very limited choice of beer. Will definitely not recommend or return.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The decor is modern and inviting, and the entire place was clean and organized. The staff was extremely friendly and the manager even took the time to chat with us about our baby. The food selection was great and we opted for the 2 meals for £15 deal, which was delicious, piping hot, and beautifully presented. The desserts were also fantastic. We will definitely be returning soon.

Took my mum for the 2 meals for £15 offer, as she really loves the small Beer battered fish and chips. She can't eat much because of health conditions and age They said there wasn't any small fish left so she would have to order the Large fish at £12:50. So our bill for food came to £21 instead of £15. I said cut the fish in half but thet said they couldn't. We go there alot so was disappointed they couldn't accommodate a pensioner who wanted a small fish. Speisekarte ansehen

On Monday I telephoned to book a table for lunch for Tuesday and requested that we sit at our usual table (13). I was told that this was OK but we we arrived someone else was sitting at our table. No explanation from the staff. The restaurant had run out of the pumped beer. My wife ordered tachos as a main course. It was a very small serving. Finally the restaurant would not accept my Amex card. Four things wrong on one visit makes me want to avoid this place.

We went on a spur of the moment meal out. Pub and restaurant has a lovely decor but as soon as you walk in it's full of young staff who just talk amongst themselves and clearly don't really want to be there. There is no atmosphere and almost empty which speaks for itself. The drink order was wrong as the server was too busy talking. The food was nice a bit overpriced but enjoyable. The service and whole ambience let's it down badly. This could be a jewel in the crown but needs a staff and management overhaul and some serious changes otherwise like the neighbouring Bulls Head it will soon be shut

We came to love Denby Lodge as our place for a date night and over the last two years have visited weekly, also celebrated with birthdays with family members, today's vist was a shock that's all I can say. We ordered the same as usual two sizzlers one steak one chicken mine came out first it didn't sizzlel, but it never happened before! In all the time we have attended, I touched the metal plate it was hot but not as it should be(two weeks prior I did thus by accident and rightly so got a blister) not a problem lesson learned. I informed the person serving us as my wife's was delivered as it should be. I asked for it to go back and informed this person I don't want anything else... never ask... Speisekarte ansehen
