This charming, cozy pub is incredibly dog-friendly and has a wonderful atmosphere. They warmly welcome both large and small groups, and they offer fantastic vegan options! For vegetarians, the veggie ploughman’s is exceptional, and there are plenty of great vegan choices available as well. Price per person: £10–20. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5.

Great local pub. Top notch ale and food. We had an unexpected stop over and the landlady very kindly fed our hounds as we'd no food and the local shops were shut. Not only that, she made sure we left with breakfast for them too. You don't get this kind of service in most boozers. We were chuffed and the dogs gave a round of ap-paws. Sorry. The food was excellent, and the service was friendly and inviting. We ordered the beef brisket chili, lamb burger, and the pie of the day, and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. The pub has a charming 'local' vibe, but it doesn't feel exclusive to residents; it welcomes everyone. I would gladly return for another meal and drink!
