"There are a few minor improvements that could enhance the room. For instance, the bathroom could use a bit more shelving for personal toiletries, as having them on the floor felt a bit cramped. Additionally, the exhaust fan didn’t seem to work very well, leaving the floor quite damp after a steamy shower. A larger sink would also be beneficial, as washing our faces often resulted in water splattering on the floor. Other than that, everything else about the room was amazing. I do want to mention that the pricing of some items needs to match the actual costs; I found a £5 discrepancy on the gin I ordered—which is quite typical in London. That said, it was wonderful knowing we had three rooms and our friends were in two of them, which meant we didn’t have to deal with any troublesome guests. As for the Ginstitute experience, what can I say? It truly made for a memorable birthday gift from the distillery. It's worth every penny for gin lovers! My partner and I, along with our friends, thoroughly enjoyed this fantastic experience, and a huge thank you goes out to our amazing host, Sophie. She was phenomenal and answered every question thrown her way, though she could work on her crying skills! The Gintonic restaurant was also exceptional—the food was so delightful that we wished we lived closer so we could visit weekly. It feels like a true home away from home, rather than just another hotel. I also want to give a shout-out to the long-haired owner/manager who kindly helped me order a much-needed pizza at 3:30 a.m. It was just what we needed after all those gin drinks! Overall, this is a lengthy review, but it’s important to acknowledge the love and effort this venue puts into ensuring their guests have a great experience. People are quick to leave negative reviews if they’re unhappy, but we often forget to share the good experiences. Lastly, for fellow gin lovers, start saving your pennies and come fully prepared to enjoy everything this establishment has to offer. Highly recommended, and we can't wait to return. Last Friday, I went to a maid night with my university friends. We had a fantastic evening at Gintonica, enjoying delicious tapas, especially the calamari—it was absolutely amazing!

Popped in here on our first visit to Portobello Road. Lovely place, friendly staff and delicious Gin! I tried No 171 and it's the best gin I've ever tasted! We'll be back on our next visit to London!

Attended 'The Experience ' at the Ginstitute as a surprise birthday treat for my best friend and was not disappointed. Highly enjoyable, fantastic host and lots of different samples to try/smell. Would not hesitate to recommend! Speisekarte ansehen

Stayed at the Distillery for my boyfriend's birthday as we both love gin. Could not recommend it enough. The room was beautiful and decorated in such a quirky, stylish way. We also had a lovely view of Portobello Road. Service was brilliant and we also loved making our own gin at the Ginstitute! Would definitely stay there again

This restaurant boasts an impressive gin menu that any gin enthusiast would envy, making it a must-visit for gin lovers and their friends. The food is quite good as well. I spent Saturday night there with two of the best people I know, and our waitress, Sandra, was exceptional! I highly recommend going there to enjoy the experience.

the staff could not do enough for them, they were all so friendly. the selection of gins and cocktails was very good and the small load and the distillery before site are worth a visit. a very popular Spanish style bar. stay for the night in a quirky room complete with a worktop player and selection of lp’s! the distillery is worth a visit. Awesome place to stay. Lovely facilities and the best service you will find. The staff couldn’t do enough to help and were quiet happy to listen to us ramble on about stuff! Would be more than happy to stay here again. N.b be prepared to climb a few stairs! Though they do have an elevator (I only found this out after staying there)! Keep doing what you’re doing guys!

can not recommend this place very much. we stayed for 2 nights in the beautiful boutique room where nothing too much effort for employees who was sure our stay was perfect. we have made the gin tour that was incredible, really interesting and also much fun. we ate and drank in gintonica, the first class and a great atmosphere. also the bar down was super fun, great service and amazing drinks! absolutely 5 stars space
