"we visited last night after a fast Google search and this big little place caught our eye, no nonsense home cooked eating in fast for 8 pm booked. my young had bolognese, as he was very used to authentic pasta home, he got him the thumbs up, and the garlic bread was also on site. my misses had the crab, which was also top notch, as my delicious gammon streak. the owners are wonderful, friendly welcoming and leading a great place, we loved it! the young waitress was also a shady and was perfectly well maintained and professional. both I and my misses work in 5 stars hospitality and we see a beautiful family restaurant and we will be back in spite of him visiting our next island. can not recommend enough.get in booked."

"I absolutely adore this place. I was on a spontaneous day trip to the island and couldn't resist stopping at what I believe is the best small cafe on the Isle of Wight. Many thanks to Kyle, the talented chef who prepared the perfect Jäger chicken burger that I highly recommend. The cafe is located right on the beach and has the most welcoming and friendly staff. It's such a beautiful spot."

"I live on the island, but not often risking to ventnor, I and my friend dived for a tee and roasted tee cake. beautiful thema and atmosphere, personal are very friendly and I would highly recommend to provide one of their amazing selection of cakes. "My wife and I have visited all of the Character Inns on the island and in each the staff have been very friendly. The Caulkheads is no exception, though this is our least favourite of the group. Despite being the nearest geographically to where we live on the island. It is perhaps because we have visited at quieter times, in winter, when the pub was still rather cold, that it has seemed less inspiring. Though admittedly, we have been disappointed by the food here too, which arrived slowly and less warm than I would have liked. perhaps again, due to being during colder weather, more difficult to keep hot. We haven't given up on The Caulkheads, we will try another visit sometime, perhaps in the Summer months."

"absolutely delicious. we love this beautiful restaurant / teestube, the garden is with small secret places to sit and is so charming. after the visit we decided to order their shanklin cake. That's good, so fleshy. the prawn salad is incredible and the isle of wight tastes so fresh. I think you sticky toffee pudding might be the best I cost. the owner is charming and the staff so friendly. 10/10"
