Terrible mashed potatoes cold and had formed a slight crust, cauliflower cheese barely warm, green beans almost raw, carrots cold. Even the roast pots and parsnips were cold. Gravy was warm. Lots of meat in the portion that was the most positive thing. Needless to say we were disappointed and will not be returning

Came here for Sunday dinner with my family and friends and what more could you want for two Sunday dinners at £9.95!!!! The staff were super nice. The chef serving the food was so polite and helpful. Think his name was Danny? The food was fresh and the Yorkshire puddings were beaut and also HUGE!Honestly could not fault it, definitely going back for another dinner!!

The food was really good but the attitude and manner in which the manager spoke to me was absolutely disgusting,I asked if there was a different table to sit at to eat our food because it felt a bit cramped and squeezed in,the managers words were “if I didn’t like it not to bother coming”this was said in front of other customers,which I found very unprofessional and rude Speisekarte ansehen

Food is average pub grub but don’t bother staying in the overnight accommodation: Airless bedroom that was stale and smelly Road noise with windows open Noise of other guests in corridors rooms Cheap, tasteless and charmless furniture fittings in bedroom Stained carpets and generally dirty feeling Outside fire escape access steps to the accommodation in the rain No breakfast

We had a fantastic lunch Carvery on Sunday 11 June. Choice of 3 meats, beef, pork and turkey, loads of fresh veg, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, new potatoes and mashed, cauliflower cheese, carrots, peas, massive yorkshire pudding and gravy with lots of sauces without having to ask Horseradish, apple, mint. Absolutely couldn't believe all this for Two for £10. Can't wait to go again!!! Also a great conservatory overlooking the golf course.

I took my family out for a Sunday lunch and was amazed at the quality of food even though it was 2 Sunday dinners for £9.95 the chief was very helpful in helping my autistic daughter to choose her meat and even made her laugh she said he was very funny. The only thing that spoiled the experience was rude customers who seamed to have a problem with a table booking I take my hat off to the staff who continued to be professional even though they were being swore and shouted at well do to all of them. Don’t think I would have been as professional as they were to be honest. I will definitely be returning for meals again especially the 50% off day Speisekarte ansehen

First off, the staff need a lesson in customer service! Arguing with customers is not the way to go about it in the hospitality industry! Granted we were 10 minutes late and they give your table to someone else!! We were a family of 10 and then wanted us to sit on tables not suitable for children! The table they wanted us to sit at was in the bar area (which children are not allowed in) and if one of our kids fell, they would have been seriously hurt! We pre-booked a table for a party of 10 for 2:30pm today as it was to celebrate our parents wedding anniversary and we got there 15 minutes early only to be told that because we were “late” our table had been given away to another party. It was poorly explained that the person who originally took our reservation over the phone must have booked us in for 2pm by mistake and we were classed as no shows and there was nothing they could do. When making a booking in advance I generally find a table to be assigned to that booking but when we arrived we were left feeling a little confused as we were told although there were many empty tables that we could either sit at a table they required back over an hour later or that we could take our food through to the bar to sit. We choose to sit at the table believing that we would indeed be completed and out although no time limit was stated at the time of booking and well an hour is more that enough for a Sunday dinner with it being a carvery.
