My daughter is vegan and very fussy, they went out of their way to work out what she would like, they were incredibly friendly and helpful. Will return! Highly recommended

This was my first visit to Tintern and I'm so glad I decided to stop for coffee cake at this restaurant. The service was friendly, the coffee was excellent, and the scones were incredibly fresh! I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Visited the Filling Station whilst walking in the Forest of Dean area. It is very popular for good reason. Family run excellent coffee and food ..even if you are not a cyclist. Complemented with a great ice cream parlour opposite. Will return again for sure. Speisekarte ansehen

The Hare was busy! Result!! Won't be looking in that direction again. Cheese and chutney panini was great. Scone cream and jam even better. Coffee was fantastic. Service was friendly and very efficient. We will definitely make this the first choice in future.

Stopped off on a rainy morning on the way back from Chepstow hotel. Service exceptional, bacon and Brie panini freshly made and tasty, coffee top notch better than any chain, and the hot chocolate made with real chocolate and milk was to my wife's very demanding needs, seriously lush as she stated when we left. Would recommend to anyone, don't miss the drinks food and service. John and Deb

The staff is wonderful and provides excellent service. They offer a great selection of freshly made sandwiches and other tasty options that are generously filled. Even when one of us accidentally spilled our coffee, the owner graciously gave us a free replacement, despite our insistence on paying for it. The restaurant has a lovely outdoor seating area in the front or behind the building under a beautiful tree. Thank you for a great experience, we will definitely return! Speisekarte ansehen

This was our first time being asked about our coffee strength preference on a scale of 1 to 10, and it was a pleasant surprise. The coffee, tiffin, and coffee and walnut cake were all excellent. We enjoyed sitting on the wooden terrace under a large parasol to shield us from the occasional showers. The cafe was popular with cyclists, evidenced by the bike pump and spare inner tubes they had available outside. Even though we had walked from Chepstow, it was a great experience overall.

We were really hungry, had just done a long cycle ride and it was 2pm. We chanced on this place after avoiding the Mill. The Hare was busy. Lovely food. Friendly engaging staff who were only to happy to make fresh tasty food including vegetarian. Good views down the valley. There’s a playground nearby and it’s a stones throw from the trail bridge and the abbey. There’s a cycle pump outside! We will be stopping here next time too. Thanks very much. The cheese and chutney in a toasted baguette was amazing.

Our cycling club stopped off at The Filling Station Cafe during a visit to the Wye Valley. A wonderful, warm welcome from Vin, Lou and their staff. Excellent coffee and great selection of cakes, flapjacks and Lou proudly showed off their new ice-cream parlour too! Not surprisingly, due to the fantastic location, this cafe is a bit of a mecca for cyclists and probably one of the best cycle-friendly cafes you will find anywhere. The only drawback is that it's a long way from Oxford, so we cannot visit it every Saturday, but we will return! Speisekarte ansehen
