The Friary Fish Chips

Excellent chippie. Food was amazing and great service absolutely recommend. We had fish suppers and they were excellent

Really enjoyed our chip suppers from the friary Beauly. Best we have had in a long time. Better than any we have had in Inverness.

Fabulous battered haddock no skin and light batter. Good chips and a huge menu to choose fromn very reasonably priced too. Friendly, helpful staff; no wonder the place is busy.

Have not been for a while and still as good as when I had previously been there. Always enjoy that their black pudding is in round patties. I also have been there for an ice cream recently

Good food, great and extensive menu, ok pricing. You can see why the place is popular. Service is friendly and it’s a real mixed crowd who turn up to enjoy the food which is take away only.

Sausage suppers and chips were lovely but unfortunately the fish was awful 3 of us had fish and it was old and definitely did not taste fresh. We also paid for a single white pudding which failed to make it into the order but I paid for it according to the receipt. Not a great end to the holiday.

We were attended to by two young women who seemed put off to serve foreigners. Any questions we asked about the food (such as portion size) was met with snickers and looks of dumbfoundedness. Once our ordering was complete, the young women, in plain sight of us, started talking about us and laughing at us. Not what an out of town family would expect on holiday. The food was GREAT, however the unwelcomeness overshadowed the entire meal.

This by far the worst chop shop I've ever been in ! The fish was at least a day old (I know as I'm a chef) the portion I ordered was a large/jumbo fish supper and it was dry very small for an alleged jumbo it was a total joke ! I will always buy locally but this place has turned into a tourist trap for the gullible ! A damn disgrace are my only words ! Appalling to take money for day old fish in a tiny portion ! Disgraceful! Please go to another and in Dingwall you won't believe the difference! I feel robbed and yea I'm local although the staff aren't gave the dog the fish ! Disgusting and dry ! Avoid

The village chippy where do I start! This place is great. It was like I was eating the best food I'd ever had. I just love the place. It was very quick service, everyone was friendly. Maybe a bit too much oil but who cares about that. The chippy is just amazing. I honestly recommend it, especially if you're a tourist and you just want to get some food and relax. Really just like a really nice place to go out and you've got the Priory next door lots of tourist attractions great ice cream don't get me started on the ice cream the ice cream is delicious. I got all the flavors. Could be cheaper than yeah it's very expensive for what it is but it's delicious I highly recommend it.
