The Gatehouse Tavern

Watched England and Ireland rugby and then Arsenal v Liverpool in the garden of the gatehouse pub, great beer lovely burgers good atmosphere, friendly staff. Well worth a visit any day.

By far the best pub in Coventry. The landlord has a wry sense of humour. The beer is superb every time I visit Coventry and this absolute gem of a pub. Definitely a contender for a pub of the year award from CAMRA. Imo.

Visited here a few times now and always have a friendly welcome, good real ales on tap and excellent value lunches. Had a cheese and onion batch, good strong cheddar in a very large batch and chips, very good value and good quality. Speisekarte ansehen

The best pub in Coventry in my opinion. Always a great selection of real ales on and the food is fantastic. The doorstep sandwiches are amazing. It's a great venue to watch televised sport with a huge screen and a couple of TVs. Lovely big beer garden and outdoor bar area. Staff are great!

Evening visit, football on TV and regulars scattered around the bar. Open bar area, 20 beer taps from draught to hand pulled ales. Mate had Guiness and very impressed with the pints we drunk, I had the Hophouse 13. Sporty bar and garden raining so not seen . A nice pub to enjoy a pint, hope to visit when warmer for garden area.

OK, so this is basically a pub. I find it clean every time we use it and it is our pub of choice these days. The food is served very quickly and is always piping hot and fresh. Chicken nuggets and chips sat outside is a treat. The barman even remembered our round and that always helps the evening go well. A very decent pun is this. Speisekarte ansehen

There were 16 of us yesterday for Christmas/Birthday celebrations and we had a brilliant time. Most of us had the giant yorkshire Christmas dinner and it was really lovely, plenty of meat, extra gravy and nothing was too much trouble. They put a birthday banner over the table and brought a cake out for the Birthday boy, excellent service, value for money and will definitely go and eat there again. Thanks for having us!

Like to come here. Staff is friendly and there's a nice and cozy atmosphere there. If you're in to rugby it's the place to go. I'm not but I still come by from time to time. Usually on Sunday afternoon there's music on the terrace. Hungry? Good food is served at reasonable prices. Lasagne and their Curry, both with salad and chips is great for just £5. Not saying it's the best chips in Coventry but the best I've had so far

Lovely little pub with a fabulous garden which we didn 't even know was there ! We have been here a couple of times and had drinks after a show but yesterday we just popped in while we were in town. We hadn 't booked but there was room outside so we were welcomed in. Social distancing wasn 't an issue. Plenty of room between the tables. We felt very comfortable and 'safe '. We will definitely be going back and will book for lunch next time ! Speisekarte ansehen
