Took the whole family for my birthday. Great night, special thank you to Nicola who looked after us and really cared and took pride in everything she did. Thank you. The food was fab too.

Chris was a great host for the night, looked after us brilliantly and had a great sense of humour as well! For someone who is new to the job he had us fooled for an experienced staff member. Food was also excellent.

Pizza is tasteless no flavour in sauce or cheese. Had to put loads of seasoning on it. Base is nice but it needs flavour. And they charged me £1 for glass of fizz water from the pump. It’s FREE EVERYWHERE else. !!!!! Outrageous

Well after giving up on getting a meal without having to complain about it we decided to stop going so after a year or probably more we decided to try again wish we hadn't bothered the carvery meals were ok it was the one's of the menu that were awful and no-one asked how our meals were I suppose I could have put a complaint in but what's the point we just won't go back shame really it used to be a great place.

Not often i do this (write reviews) however, following our recent experience at the Greyhound Inn i felt compelled to do so . Booked in for dinner we were welcomed and hosted by Chris Clifford a genuine credit to the Greyhound team. We were seriously impressed by his diligence and professionalism, and that of the wider staff. Obviously experienced in his trade... but what impressed us most was how Chris lead by example and how the who team simply oozed customer care... great place, great food and superb service.

Have visited the Greyhound on a number of occasions recently with the quality of food served ranging from excellent to poor. Problem being you can have an excellent meal one day and the next time you visit, ordering the same meals, it bears little resemblance and is poor quality. On our last visit this occurred resulting in the meals being returned and alternatives chosen. We decided to have the American hot dog thinking that this surely would be ok. However, it was so tough it was almost impossible to cut. We had to persevere and eat some of it as my wife has diabetes and desperately needed carbs Suffice to say, we will not be returning.

I made the mistake of booking a table in the bar. I ordered the main course at the bar and experience difficulty in ordering as the bairmaid did not speak very good English si I had to point out to her in the nenu what I wanted. After main course which was OK my wife and I decided that we would like desserts so I went back to the bar to order them. After a long wait because the same barmaid decided to serve other people and ignore me, she took the order and I paid. I didn't ask for a receipt and thought that I would be served the two desserts to only receive one. Again the barmaid had not been able to understand what I was saying to her. Would ho back again. It was disgraceful.

We booked a table for Sunday lunch nd we were greeted when we arrived and shown to our table where a very helpful waitress explained the carvery and took our drinks order. We lined up for the carvery. My turkey and gammon was spot on and served with 2 different potatoes, roast and mash and a choice of 6 vegetables, cauliflower, parsnips, peas, carrots, red cabbage and green cabbage. Also all the trimmings, nothing missed out and the crackling was to die for! I only missed having wine to wash it down as I was driving.
