Hen Chicken - Speisekarte

This restaurant has a lively atmosphere with great food and service. We also enjoyed a show at the comedy club upstairs, which was a lot of fun!

the best scotch egg I've ever eaten. freshly made with a spicy sausage-meat jacket and a freshly cooked egg with a soft egg yolk. friendly helpful service also.

Sad food I'm afraid, should have checked the Ingredients on our pizza Who makes a pizza without cheese or tomato sauce and then burns it! : Very salty all round at least the drinks are ok! Speisekarte ansehen

I met my son on a late Sunday afternoon for supper and though there wasn’t any of the delicious Sunday roast left, we ordered from the menu and had plenty of choice. It was absolutely delicious!The staff were very engaging, efficient and wonderfully friendly. Thank you, Hen and Chicken for a lovely memory!

I typically go to the Jazz Club on Thursdays. The place is packed on Comedy Nights. They have a great variety of craft beers, but the draft beer has been out of service for some time. I've heard that their pizzas are delicious, although I haven't had a chance to try one yet. It can get quite noisy in there!

that's hard to evaluate. I had pheasant, but it was too much meat for me. there were 3 different styles of pheasant, so was a bit exaggerated for me. my friend had 3 vegan little tellers and really liked them. the staff was beautiful and I liked the little ones they had entered that they could use their knee to push for the **** instead of hands Speisekarte ansehen

A good solid pub with a comedy club upstairs. Really enjoyed a comedy evening here, and there were a few spare tickets available on the door for purchase allowing my partner to come last minute (cash only, cash machine next door in co op). Alongside a large selection of IPAs they also served frozen margaritas from a slushi machine which was prettttty cool! Bar upstairs and downstairs upstairs one is quite small though and was only open before the comedy and at the interval.

Good pizza and a decent pub. Advisable to book especially if there is something on upstairs. My Dad paid for the meal, so I can 't comment on the price. Parking is limited to the residential side streets. This is not somewhere I would visit generally because I live in east Bristol, but as we were seeing Stephen K Amos, it worked out well. It was extremely warm upstairs and the pub was almost empty when the show had finished around 10:20pm. We did aslo have to get a stamp on our hands as well as a physical ticket, which I thought was a bit odd.

The Sunday lunch was enjoyable, but I was not a fan of the benches we were seated on, especially when trying to enjoy a three-course meal with elderly grandparents (we did request not to be seated on them). The food was delicious, but they had already run out of some starters, which was a bit disappointing given the limited choices. We waited a long time for our food, and our dessert was forgotten. Instead of apologizing, the staff simply blamed the busy day. The noise level inside made it difficult to have a conversation. Overall, I am unsure if I would return to this restaurant again anytime soon. Speisekarte ansehen
