The Jolly Steward - Speisekarte

The roast potatoes were not cooked well and ruined my meal.

Old pub from my past.....long long time ago. Old pub that some say could do with a revamp, but sometimes I question whether that would make it lose its character.

My hubby and I both enjoyed a Sunday lunch from the Jolly Steward. Home delivery was a bonus too. The Yorkshire puddings were fabulous and the meat was very tender. A good amount and variety of vegetables were also served. Highly recommended will definitely be back. Speisekarte ansehen

I took my niece and nephew here for Sunday dinner. Me and my nephew both had mince and dumplings. Could not fault this and really tasty. My niece had the turkey, I had a taste of it and it was beautifully cooked and plenty of it. Will definitely return, rest of food all fresh and tasty.

We hosted our daughter's baby shower at this venue. It comfortably accommodated our 28 guests. The buffet was delightful and well-arranged, with curry and rice and spare ribs available as hot options. The staff were friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this place for any special event!

Have had a Sunday carvery here a few times but popped in for a midweek the other day. Three meats, good portions, huge yorkshire puds and plentiful fresh veg for £4.95. Free desserts were on offer too. I polished off a huge dinner and enjoyed apple crumble and custard, hubby was too full. Definitely recommend this place! Speisekarte ansehen

We visited The Jolly on Fulwell Avenue and were warmly welcomed by the staff. They were really nice and the music was fantastic. Since the kitchen was closed on weekends, they had a food van available and we were able to enjoy our meal in the pub. The drinks were reasonably priced and the pub was clean. Definitely worth a visit.

At first we weren't sure wether to try the food there but then my auntie recommended it to us and we tried it and it was lovely .. One of the best I have had.. It is quite big and you get a lot .. £1.50 for delivery to your door.. We got the dinners and a bag of Yorkshire puddings and then a carton of gravy.. It was lovely totally recommend

Not the nicest of atmospheres and unfortunately the locals are your typical sexist males who just leer at you if you show the slightest bit ankle. My dad says the beer/larger prices are really cheap. There's a decent sized function room. They do a Sunday lunch carvery type thing on a Sunday which wasn't to bad. It's Cole under new management over the past few years and they have really done well, a lot more activity days and generally improved the look of the place. Speisekarte ansehen
