King Rufus Pub Grill

Been to the Rufus for a New Years dinner and we had excellent food and service as always. We are very lucky to have this pub on our doorstep. Becca always looks after us and is very accommodating. We will be back soon!

16 friends went to the King Rufus for a friendly meal and get together. We were made very welcome, the meals all arrived together, nice and hot. Not a single complaint from any of us. Empty plates went back after. Will definitely go back.

This was a terrible and surprising experience. My wife was charged a £60 fine just for forgetting to register the car upon arrival. Signs should not be used as a way to cheat customers out of more money. These fines should not be imposed on customers. We will not be returning to this restaurant. Speisekarte ansehen

Becca, was lovely kind polite and 100% understood our needs even if we were fussy. Great customer service and smile. She was great! Made our lunch experience better. The food was lush I ordered a double cheese burger and my partner ordered a single cheese burger and all was delightful. 100% will re visit and tell people. Worth every penny.

Came here for dinner with distant friends, as we usually come here just my partner and I and thought it would be a great place to go as a group. We were not wrong nor disappointed. The manageress Becky is a credit to your business. Always friendly and accommodating, and this reflects in her team. The food was superb as always, hot and fresh. We will be returning, as we usually do…

We went on Christmas Day for lunch and all four of us were seriously impressed and the food was amazing and the staff even though it was a very busy time served us as quickly as they could. We eat in the pub regularly and always find the food good especially as I am gluten intolerant and the menu for that is good and i can always find something to eat on the menu, whether it is for breakfast, lunch or dinner. This was our third visit in as many months, another fun evening. The food and drink were as good as ever and it makes such a difference too when the service is as impressive. We were served again by Kamila, who remembered us from previous visits, which is always nice, and as before she was full of good humour. We love her enthusiasm. We are always made to feel welcome there, by all the staff. It’s a great place to visit.

To be honest we went here for new year's eve. They ran out of the food we wanted on a set menu knowing there was 17 guests booked on the table. They stopped serving at the bar at 00:45 when they are open till 01:00. To add insult to injury they would not take my wife blue card discount as it was after 12 and consider a bank holiday. All in all a terrible show from this establishment when we would have paid earlier if someone had came with a bill.

I have used this place many times for a pre curry beer...and thought as my cousin was over from Australia that it was a good choice for Sunday supper. Their website was full of their famous Sunday Roast however when we went to order, this was not available... We ended up with a scampi and fillet steak both with chips... The fillet steak was cooked to perfection and the scampi good quality however the chips were very sparse on both... I left hungry after my scampi and was disappointed... Speisekarte ansehen
