My favorite restaurant is closed for renovations until summer 2025, which is disappointing.

Traditional public house. Quality ales, friendly staff. Outside seating area. Mind yer head when going for a pee.

Booked a table for a meal on a Saturday night. Turned up and it was closed. Speaking with locals it sounds like a common trick.

Really friendly service, can't recommend enough. I would recommend a pint of Lowrswater Gold. Best pub in Hawkshead, I have tried them all.

Always loved this pub and it’s now under new management. Amazing service from all staff but especially Leon. Great local beers and a free drink for my boyfriend’s birthday. Really accommodating and well priced. Can’t wait to visit again!

although there is no great choice of vegan options, that was eating that I had, delicious. the caponata linguine was one of the best pasta dishes I ever had and the portion size is great. the garlic bread was also delicious. it was also well appreciated and I would definitely return!

After a long walk around the area, I stumbled upon this charming restaurant. I was warmly welcomed by the staff and told that my small dog was also allowed to join me. We sat outside and the manager even came over to give my dog a treat. The atmosphere was very friendly, the pint was delicious, and the location was excellent. What more could you ask for? Many thanks to everyone who made my visit so enjoyable!

The staff at this restaurant seemed to be having a rough day and appeared disorganized, but they apologized for the shortage of staff due to illness. Despite this, they continued to greet everyone warmly. After experiencing poor service at two other pubs in Hawkshead, we were grateful just to be able to order food. The staff made us feel welcome and offered a choice of three Sunday lunch options. I was initially skeptical about the meal, but the beef dinner turned out to be delicious. We didn't have to wait long for our food either. Hopefully, they will improve their organization and offer more food options in the future. I would definitely eat here again.

I stayed at the Kings Arms in Hawkshead for 2 nights over a weekend with my wife. The pub offers good value for its rooms, especially given its location in the centre of the village. The rooms reflect the competitive price and are clean and functional. If I was to give bit of feedback it would be to replace the mattress and pillows, which were well past sensible replacement stage and just doing this would add a huge boost for a comfortable stay.The pub itself is always busy with walkers and is very dog friendly. Food is served, although if you want an evening meal, book or get in early as it gets busy. We had a very warm welcome by all the staff working and they are very helpful and friendly...
