Newly redecorated, beautiful interiors. Simple bar menu but good food. Good value, friendly helpful staff

we stopped for lunch. decor inside is beautiful beams, large fireplace, benches and it also has an outside area. the personal was nice and friendly and the steak sandwiches are amazing. we will be back

A real hidden gem, really nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We had a three course meal which was the nicest we've had in a very long time. The chef really knows what they are doing, we can't wait to go back there again.

fantastic Sunday dinner. I had the roast beef, my dining room partner, the sea bass with risotto. risotto can be met and missed when eating; if it is not fresh, it can be grim, but that was clear fresh and very good. first-class service, nice environment.

Lovely place very busy when visited very wet outside but warm and cosy with open fire. I ordered steak sandwich, very tasty and well presented. Partner had fish plater, did feel had more salad than fish but he enjoyed. Team all very friendly, would vist again.

my wife and I enjoyed a fabulous meal in the stable bar. the atmosphere in the bar was great and the staff not only friendly, but very professional. that was delicious. I cannot recommend this device enough. we had scallops with cured salmon to begin and stab as our main course.

had a nice meal in the kings head. I contacted them before I let them know that it was my partner and my jubilee and they kindly gave us a nice table on the window and a dessert written with happy anniversary. would recommend abeolutely, very friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere and good eating!

as a massive fan of history and maintaining the old architecture this was a wonderful pub. in the inner they have the beams, the large open fire, and only a very quirky environment as if they step back in time. beautiful beer garden also. service was great and very friendly. we had the steak sandwich, which was a big part and even better taste. very pleased, we will be back when the autumn/winter days roll in.

great late lunch! the complete lunch menu is available on Saturday around the clock, as we were after the time that the lunch service lasts in the week, and we thought it was also applied to the weekend. we were well cared for by the employees and enjoyed a delicious baked fish sauce starter and a pea risotto and fry new potato and mushroom salad. a beautiful old pub, good coaching inn, and a good beer selection.
