The Misbah - Speisekarte

Very nice meal and restaurant. Good service. Both my wife and I thought the food was good quality. If we are back in Monmouth we would visit again.

We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant on Thursday evening. The fish curry was delicious, and my wife's chicken kurma was also full of flavor.

Once again, the curry at this restaurant is fantastic. The naan bread is particularly impressive, being light and fluffy with just the right amount of filling. I am also envious of their delicious onion bhajis.

A lovely friendly Indian cuisine restaurant, at the top of Monmouth town centre high street. The food was amazing, the flavours delicious. All nicely presented. We visit Misbah at least twice a month because it is a convenient stopover while we do some distance driving. Sometimes we eat in, sometimes do takeaway. The food is always excellent and there are a lot of options each with their local flavour variations. The plain naan is some of the best I have had in the UK. I also love the music connection, due to the recording studio in the area.

After waiting for over half an hour, we made the decision to leave as we could not wait any longer. The couple at the next table was in the same predicament. We paid for our drinks and poppadums and departed, despite the kitchen's assurance that our food would be ready in "only a minute". Even if this had been true, rushing through our meals was not an option and would have likely led to indigestion. We waited as long as we could before deciding to leave. This restaurant was recommended to us by a colleague for its good food, but unfortunately, we will not be returning.

We were staying in Monmouth for my Birthday and based upon TA reviews, my wife and I decided to try this restaurant. We are so glad we did. The service was excellent, the staff very courteous and the decor and cleanliness, first class. However, the food is absolutely the stand out. I have eaten Indian food in restaurants all over the UK for the past 40 years or so and quite simply, this has to be up there with the best and is probably my favourite. We had Chicken Korahi and the Special Balti with a portion of Onion Bhajee, pilau rice and a plain naan. Every aspect of the meal was outstanding. Freshly cooked, hot and extremely well presented.
