Nice pub. Good food and fabulous Shiraz. Great service and not too badly priced. Definitely return when in the area.

Enjoyed lunch at nightingale recently new surroundings create pleasent atmosphere. Friendly waitress staff in general. Certainly will return definitely recommend.

It is not easy to visit these days because I am 84 and have had to give up the car but whenever I can entice a friend to bring me to see you I know we will both be served with an enjoyable meal.

Had not visited The Nightingale for some time following a couple of poor experiences there previously.However it has cetainly turnd round good food and service and great value. Party of 6 for after work meal and will certainly be returning, understand they have a new manager , he is certainly doing an excellent job

we choose the nightingale, because it was halfway between the goals and it meant that both parties would not travel to home for longer. what a pleasant surprise, not only do we have a very inviting entrance from the personal, but the place is very welcoming and has a beautiful open fire! the meal was excellent, very well presented, beautiful and hot when it came to them. menu choice was excellent. the young lady we served was wonderful that nothing was too much annoyed, she blessed. we will not be back. many thanks for a wonderful Sunday dinner we had with our family. you made it very special.

What a pleasant surprise, not only did we have a very welcoming entrance by the staff but the place is very welcoming and has a lovely open fire! The meal was excellent, very well presented, nice and hot when it came to you. Menu Choice was excellent. The Young lady we had serving us was wonderful nothing was too much trouble, bless her. She was excellent. We defiantly will be back. Thank you all so much for a wonderful Sunday lunch we had with our family. You made it very special.

I have had a few meals at The Nightingale and can honestly say the food in of very good quality. This was the first time i had booked for a family meal on a Sunday at 7pm and was disappointed that quite a lot of the menu was sold out once we had arrived. I suppose it is understandable as it was a lovely sunny day so a lot of people probably went for lunch time, but as I had booked for a large group in advance it was a little problematic trying to work out what was left on the menu that we could have. I wouldn't recommend dining on a Sunday evening but I would go back on a different day or at a different time in future.

Went for an evening meal was seated by a very polite waitress who took a drinks order and then before we ordered our meals reeled off at least 5 things that were not available ..... I would have expected this at the weekend but not mid week! We settled for what was described as .......the 7oz British beef burger..£10.50 in a brioche bun with smoked cheddar, ginger-beer glazed thick-cut streaky bacon and triple-cooked chips........the bacon which was placed on top of burger in bun was undercooked very very thick and inedible. Chips were ok but very few of them but burger was nice and cooked well. All in all waitress was very nice but the burger and a few chips was not worth The money we paid!
