The Old Forge - Speisekarte

Food was very nice, and the service from the young lady was excellent. Restaurant was very comfortable with room between the tables. My second visit in a week.

I really enjoy this pub. They offer meals tailored to various dietary restrictions, including vegan options. I have never had a bad experience in this charming environment.

I regularly go to the Old Forge and it's always good food and beer. Good value too. The outide tables are surrounded by the car park, which is unfortunate, but not a deal breaker. Speisekarte ansehen

The Old Forge was lovely. The service was very attentive and the decor beautiful with a rustic cottage feel. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meal very much... everything was fresh and delicious. I definitely recommend their tiramisu to top off your evening.

Shame the food didn’t live up to previous visits. Vegetarian options were limited.roast Potatoes weren’t nice. Veggies were otherwise good well but didn’t as an overall meals live up to the cost. Service was fine and the environment is lovely. Missed opportunities.

The food and beer are always top notch at the Old Forge; this is the second time this week that I went there with my son-in-law and his baby. Today the fish and chips were cooked to perfection; crispy batter and the fish was not over-cooked (as is so often the case). This might be a regular occurrence until my daughter puts a stop to it! On a wet, chilly evening the warm log fires were a welcome sight as we entered the Old Forge. The welcome from the staff was just as good and, although the restaurant had just opened for the evening service, our drinks and food order was taken quickly. The food we ordered was delicious (the tagliatelle in particular). We will definitely go again

Food was excellent, unfortunately we were invisible and received no table service throughout, although all tables around us were visited regularly. After 20 minutes of waiting I went to the bar to order food and drinks. The food arrived promptly and was off a high standard. I did however have to go for a wander and find salt and pepper.When the meal was finished

As ever, I enjoyed the ambience of the Old Forge, it has long been one of my favourites. On this occasion I was dining with my daughter in law. I chose the seabass (excellent) and Alicia chose the pork belly (again excellent). However, on finishing her pork belly, Alicia noticed that she had not been served the accompanying pototo dauphinoise. She queried this with the server who of course offered to provide them but it was too late to enjoy with the rest of the meal. The server said she would take them off our bill....and to our pleasant surprise, Alicia's total meal cost was removed. It is a shame some restaurants do not do this as a matter of course.
