The Old Market Assembly

Yummy Sunday roast. I had the beef and my friend had the pork belly, both delicious. Good coffee too and friendly staff. Potatoes were just a little overcooked for my liking

We dropped in by chance and enjoyed the atmosphere in there and the staff were very helpful. Not a large menu but what we had was very good especially the pizza and lamb kofta.

Amazing and super tasty Sunday Roast with a veggie option (no vegan). Nothing else on the menu, only one dessert option (sorry, don't remember what it was). Nice variety of drinks. Roast with wine: £17/each

They have a lot of decent drafts and often book some really decent acts. It can get really crowded as well so definitely keep that in mind. Has a very diverse crowd and is pretty eclectic. Would definitely recommend

I feel that the gluten free base for the pizza could be Improved. But pizza was delicious! My wine was not good so I took it back and no issue made and changed for a fresh one. Amazing venue for music and theatre and dinner all in one. Love this place.

I had an amazing Sunday roast. I ordered pork belly and it was delicious. high quality food in a very good atmosphere. I had 2 pints wiper and real beer on the train, I always appreciate local beers on the selection. the people working on Sunday were very friendly and helpful.

we wanted a place to eat. only by chance we found the old market assembly. we ordered various pizzas, teigballs and a drink. they do not have the normal pizzas on the menu, but something special, everything extremely delicious. the waiter recommended an ipa that my man liked very much. the service was beautiful and attentive. in any case they recommend this place.

Booked a table for 8. Ordered pizzas and an hour and 10 minutes later they still hadn't arrived. We complained to the manager and he gave us a round of free drinks which was decent of him but when the pizza did arrive 10 minutes later it was burnt. Also a rowdy group from the balcony were chucking drinks down onto us. Security did remove them but all in all it wasn't a great experience. Pizzas are supposed to be quick and simple.

This is a good place for atmosphere. The room is impressive with traditional features. Some parts of the interior look like they need some TLC mind. We booked in on a Sunday and sat on the balcony indoors although we were offered a spot on the roof garden it was far too warm for that though. Despite the weather, we ordered roast dinners. I had the vegetarian strudel which was very nice and not too cheesy which I find is often a worry with vegetarian options. Everything was lovely apart from from my potatoes which were a little firm/less crispy but others said their potatoes were fine so maybe I got the bad ones! For a roast dinner, I think this is fantastic value for money.
