"We had dinner here on Thursday, two adults in our 20s and 30s. The restaurant has a lovely, relaxed pub atmosphere with a diverse menu at reasonable prices for the area. The food was cooked to perfection and of excellent quality. The restaurant was warm, and the staff were incredibly attentive, eager to ensure we had a great experience. There’s also a nice selection of wines and beers available at reasonable prices. Although the service was a bit slow since it was just us and another table of four ordering at the time, it was nothing to be concerned about. The restaurant manager was extremely focused on making our visit memorable and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area or just passing through; you’ll enjoy a warm welcome and find a great variety of classic pub dishes along with contemporary options. There truly is something for everyone! Five stars!"

"The restaurant, Mario's, located just a few steps away from our B&B, was impeccably clean and tidy. The staff were friendly, efficient, and attentive without being intrusive. The menu was quite extensive, offering alternatives for those who aren't fans of pasta. Our starters and mains arrived hot and were absolutely delicious. A variety of drinks were available, including red, white, and rose wines, house wines, Italian beers, and liqueurs. The only minor complaint was the limited selection of bottled wines. Overall, our evening at Mario's was enjoyable, and I would highly recommend it for its excellent food, friendly staff, and pleasant atmosphere. Just be sure to book in advance, as it is a popular spot."

Despite being very popular and busy, possibly the best Indian restaurant in the area, the vibrant atmosphere can sometimes be overshadowed. However, the meals are always of very high quality, authentic, and delicious. The staff always provide a warm and genuine welcome, whether you are arriving or leaving. "I would normally sing the praises of Bear but a recent visit was very disappointing. Hygiene not up to scratch, a long 45 minutes) wait to receive food, and a flat atmosphere made this visit very poor. Add to this an unapproachable member of staff serving behind the bar who was not communicating with ANY customers middle age and colder than a block of ice) Bear used to be the place to be, with so much better choice in Uttoxeter it’s rapidly turning into the place to avoid if you want great customer service as well as good food."

"Used this takeaway service many times and until recently would've highly rated it. Last two times using them has been substandard. Prior to this, our delivery was over an hour late, on top of the 1.5hr waiting time. The 1.5hr waiting time is fairly standard and we were fine with that, but the hour on top with no reason or apology was not acceptable. Tonight's order came incomplete and it took them over an hour to come and refund my money. They offered me a replacement meal which I would have had to wait an hour and a half for regardless. Unfortunately the food is brilliant but the service is terrible. Will not be using again Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30"
