"Came across this pub by accident when we got diverterted off the A47 during lunch time. Looks very inviting from outside, massive garden. Inside very welcoming, traditional looking pub with fireplace and beams. Lots of choice on the menu, with specials on offer. Staff were very, very friendly, explaining soup of the day and the days daily fish catch available. Large choice of beers available, lots of tables in bar and restaurant area. More than happy for our two dogs in the bar area and made us all feel very welcome. Food was fantastic with large portions I'm glad we didn't opt for a starter, but from what we saw, they looked fabulous) Very big piece of fresh tasting fish, lots of scampi, chips were perfect. Could not fault anything about the pub, food, service, everything was to very high standard, quite glad we got lost really, well worth the additional miles, highly recommended. Such a delight to visit. Alison is a very helpful, friendly and attentive host. Food is superb and lovely and hot. We spent our 25th wedding anniversary at The Parsons, such a lovely meal. Back soon to celebrate my cousins 25th wedding anniversary to. A lovely pub/hotel serving freshly made food and real ales. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable and come with complimentary tea, coffee, and bottles of water. The breakfast is superb, full of local produce, and cooked perfectly. The best thing about this hotel is the staff.
