The baguettes cost nearly £9 and I would liken them to no bigger than a bread roll. No music. No atmosphere

Definition of cheap and cheerful. Good value for money, typical pub food. £6 burger at lunch time really hit the spot- topped off with a decently priced pint. Nice selection on kids emerald. Would recommend, would definitely return.

Family visit at lunchtime. Very reasonably priced lunch menu. We ordered two burger meals and a steak wrap. One burger meal was ordered with sweet potato fries. Very welcoming staff throughout our visit. Food arrived promptly and we all thought it was tasty. Definitely a match to the food we eat in other pubs. Will definitely return. Speisekarte ansehen

The food at this pub is very disappointing. Although the service was good, the quality of the food is lacking. The menu was missing steak and garden peas on the evening of my visit. It is surprising that they didn't have these basic ingredients, especially with a Co-op located right next door where they could easily source frozen peas.

This was my first visit to the restaurant since it reopened. Our waitress was very pleasant. However, I was disappointed when she handed us a worn and stained paper menu and informed us that three items were not available. The meal was average at best. It was not surprising that there were only two other tables occupied. The restaurant seriously needs to improve its quality.

Quite disappointed, went on spec as we couldn't pre-book as we were unsure what time a graduation would finish and how the traffic congestion would hamper the journey so when we arrived home I made a phone call only to listen a pre recorded message that bookings were no longer being taken ,but if we wanted to try on spec we could take a chance on availability. We chose to do that but when we arrived at 7.30 pm we were advised the kitchen had closed at 7pm,felt this was rather early so travelled to another pub 10 mins away and was warmly welcomed and served some tasty grub I understand staffing costs and fuel issues can be a problem but to close a kitchen at 7pm is way to early. I have used this venue previously and been generally satisfied but I found this visit disappointing. The Pigot has recently reopened after being closed for building work and renovation and they have certainly not got back to the previous standard. Of our group of five, 3 felt that their meals were poor in quality and presentation. one OK and the fifth good. One person had part of their main changed (new potatoes substituted with what she considered a mound of indifferent mashed potato) and would have ordered something different if she had known before the meal arrived. We visited the restaurant during the scarecrow festival for lunch. It opens at 12 noon and was not very busy when we arrived. We placed our order at 12:08. We ordered 2 main meals, 2 children's meals, and 2 sides. Unfortunately, we had to wait 45 minutes for our food, and one main meal and one side were missing initially. It took another 10 minutes for the main dish to arrive, even though we had asked for it three times. The remaining side dish took an additional 10 minutes to be served, by which time most people had already finished their meals. Visited on the first day of the Scarecrow Festival, which was also the first day the Pigot Arms reopened after a refurb/change of management. On the plus side, it was spotless clean with lots of comfy chairs. Dogs are welcome in the bar areas and visiting dogs were offered a dog treat. We didn 't order food, but the menu choices look very good and the prices reasonable. There did seem to be some teething problems many people had apparently been waiting some considerable time for food. I asked about coffee: the gentleman who served me merely said Americano I had to ask about other choices.
