"The fish and chips was a very small, almost child's portion but it tasted fine. The service was extremely slow and not particularly friendly, although I understand it was a very busy day. Was not made easier by the cup return system, so people were queueing to order and queuing to return cups. The pub is in a prime location but you're paying for that, really. Food: 2"

A great place for women who like to be ignored. My partner was left standing at the bar while 4 men arrived after her and got served (locals? No idea what the food was like as it seemed like a futile wait and she left.

Went in the 70and 80 holiday as kids, and been back since. I just love the place. . Went in the pilchard inn about 15 years ago. Took loads of photos inside the pub. And not one turned out. Old school camera back then. The ones outside were ok.... Spooky. Atmosphere: 5

My friends were new to the hotel but loved its look feel and the music dancing. The cocktails food were delicious, Gary Flo's attention charm were delightful welcome. The lower stars were for an unsmiling member of staff who was grumpy and who did an eye roll when asked for another teaspoon. Overall though a wonderful set of memories made for all of us.
