The Plough At Leigh

This venue is absolutely perfect for a wedding. The setting is stunning, with a charming atmosphere and a rustic building featuring authentic beams. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they handled the bar service efficiently. I highly recommend this place!

we were there on Saturday 7th july for the high time of a friend, the venue and the staff were amazing. very friendly and extremely attentive. would recommend 100% to anyone who wants to have their high time in a place. 10/10. thanks to all the plow for my best kumpels high time a very special day.

So I got married yesterday at the plough at Leigh! To say the day was perfect is an understatement and this is all down to the staff at the Plough! Our day went without a hitch and the whole time all staff making sure me and my husband were enjoying it and guiding us through! They let us have our day exactly how we wanted it! What a charming rural pub! The food is fantastic, the staff are wonderful, and the beer is excellent! Dogs and children are welcome, and there's a fantastic garden for the kids to enjoy, featuring climbing frames and a football area set well away from the dining tables. In the winter, the cozy fire adds a lovely touch. It's a great spot for families to gather, a perfect destination for winter hikes, or an ideal place for Sunday lunch!

We got married here on 1st August and could not have hoped for a better venue. Hazel and the team were there every step of the way and always there for advise or guidance on the lead up as well as on our special day. The barn looked absolutely beautiful, it had been set up in exactly the way we had planned, thank you so much to Della who made our ideas and visions a reality. Couldn't rate this any better, the combination of a beautiful venue, helpful and attentive staff and great food made our day one we will never forget!! Thank you! X

We got married at The Plough yesterday (12 May 2018) and can’t thank Hazel, Louise, Della and the team enough. Although we’d seen the barn several times before, walking into it for the first time when it was fully dressed for the ceremony literally took our breath away. We had an amazing day and all our guests (young and old) and a complete blast. Not even the very British weather could dampen the joy of the day. The team at The Plough couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating and really went the extra mile to help add our personal touches. The food, drink and hospitality was outstanding. This restaurant deserves more than just 5 stars! From the moment we visited, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. Hazel and Della were incredible from start to finish; nothing was too much trouble, not even accommodating a guest with specific dietary needs by preparing a different dish from the menu. Chef Luk and his team created such beautiful meals that it was difficult to make a choice! The beef we selected was the best we've ever tasted, and many of our guests felt the same way. In addition to their brilliant service, the snowy backdrop was absolutely stunning, providing the perfect setting for our winter wonderland wedding. The food was delicious, and the portions were very generous, which was important to us. All our guests raved about how tasty everything was. The venue, The Scheune, has a lovely atmosphere, and DJ Gary kept everyone dancing all night long. I will always cherish the memories of this special place and can't wait to return for dinner to relive the best day of our lives. Hazel not only have you been an absolute star to work with since we booked you for our wedding but throughout the whole time of planning you have been so kind, accommodating, professional and just overall amazing to us both!
