"we took an hour to kill before our daughter graduated. had a freky tee and cappuccino with a top fish finger sandwich with handmade fingering and tartaric acid sauce. only beautiful. chunky sea salted chips and salat slightly touched with a delicious dressing. then lemon and blueberry cake. soft squishy and just the right icing up. saw outside on the bean filled field and glancing towards ww camper. a joy. service super. it is not to do something to take home, but to hold us back."

"BIG Hugs and Kisses to Will and Jen for their AMAZING hospitality in the restaurant! I can't do justice on our praises of the meals my husband and myself received. Husband had the cottage pie with three vegetables and Yorkshire pudding with gravy; it was a Huge plate that Colin could not finish. Absolutely GORGEOUS, and he was beyond pleased! I had a piping hot bowl of cream of broccoli and cheese soup with two hot crusty buns, and the Yorkshire puddings with beef and onion gravy (you get 3 so Colin had to have one). My mouth and tummy did a happy dance, Absolutely GORGEOUS! And I could not completely finish my meal either as the portions are GENEROUS. If I was to give a rating out of 5, I would give this Wonderful place a 10 for the ambience, the charm, the history, Will and Jen, and the BEAUTIFUL food! Great menu that we will be going back to sample. We would fly back over from Canada just to dine here."

"It was our first time trying the carvery at the Comus Inn, although we have dined here several times before. The selection of meats was excellent, featuring belly pork, gammon, brisket, fried pork, and a lovely steak pie. It was all complemented by delicious Yorkshire pudding and a wide variety of fresh vegetables, including leeks in a cheese sauce that were absolutely delightful! The staff, as always, were wonderful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch."

"After reading some positive reviews, we decided to visit the Black Dog for Sunday lunch, and we were thrilled with our choice. We both opted for the two-meat option priced just under £18. Our meals arrived on generous plates filled with plenty of quality, delicious meat, along with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, and parsnips. On the side, we were given dishes of mash, vegetables, cauliflower cheese, and a boat of gravy. Everything was incredibly tasty; we couldn't have asked for more. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4."

"In the last weeks, my partner and I have used' The Odddfellows times! We didn't plan it that way but once we got the taste for it, we just keep coming back! The first time we went together we ate in. Everything was...spot on: food, drinks, service, presentation when the food arrived and prices are great value for the portions you get too. In view if the covid restrictions and measures they have had to put in place, like many other pubs, they are managing the new pub life' very well and I'm really glad they can. For our latest visits, we ordered take away food instead of eating there, and there is nothing in the take away' version that lets this establishment down. The food quality and taste is the same great one, the presentation in the take-away boxes is still good too! And the convenience of having great food, collecting it and not having to cook when we are spending our evenings redecorating the house is a real bonus. You couldn't wish or ask for a better pub food menu owners staff service price combo!... And we will keep returning!"
