The Plough Inn At Brackenfield

Food was amazing, staff freindly and welcoming. Loved the decor. I would become a regular if didn't live 2 hours away. I did try to by rabbit statue but they said no.

Friendly staff and lovely tasty food!! We came to the plough for lunch in between Christmas and New Year and the food fab! Lots to choose from the menu and very good portion sizes

A lovely looking pub with a beautiful sounding menu. It’s a shame we didn’t get to try it as the staff were so very rude. I’ve never walked out before ordering anywhere before but then I’ve never had such a cold reception. An investment in training for staff required.

Fantastic starters and the beer is kept well so you can guarantee a good pint! We had the butchers block to share and it was cooked perfectly, just underseasoned on the rump which is our own preference! Friendly staff, and the pub was warm maybe just knock the music down a little when the place is not as busy.

Absolutely fantastic meal and excellent service. There were 8 of us (6 adults 2 children) and I can honestly everything was spot on. A very warm welcome with quick, efficient, polite and friendly staff who all did a great job. Large variety of food on the menu, everything we ordered was fantastic, and surpassed expectations. I would definitely recommend this place and we look forward to visiting again soon!

Our recent experience at the restaurant was very disappointing. The pizza we ordered tasted like it had been taken straight out of a freezer, which was a letdown considering they used to make great pizzas. To make matters worse, at the end of the evening, a strong unpleasant odor made all the guests leave in a hurry. We are regular customers but if the food quality doesn't improve, we may have to find another place to dine.

We celebrated Mother's Day at this restaurant and were impressed with the welcoming atmosphere, wide selection of drinks, and friendly staff. Our party of 8 enjoyed a roast dinner, with 6 of us choosing the beef and 4 opting for lamb. Unfortunately, the first impression was not great as the vegetables were barely cooked - there was a huge unpeeled carrot and a hard parsnip on the plate. The lamb was pink and fatty, served with lukewarm gravy that made it difficult to eat. Overall, the meal left much to be desired.

We have just got here for a week stay in a little cottage and can’t check in till 3 so thought we’d find somewhere to eat as we were both pretty hungry. We rang ahead to check if dogs were allowed which they were and the staff member we spoke to was very friendly over the phone. Once we arrived the staff were very helpful and friendly. The meals didn’t take long to be cooked and brought out to us and wow it was absolutely delicious. We would definitely return and have walked away very full and happy with our visit. Would definitely recommend

During one of our visits, we arrived without a reservation and found many empty tables early in the evening. Despite this, when we asked for a table for two, we were told there were none available. Disappointed by the unwelcoming and unfriendly attitude of a certain dark-haired young man, we decided to take our business elsewhere. However, during another visit, this time with a reservation for 6:15 on a Friday evening with our family, we had a great experience. A friendly and efficient young man with fair hair served us, and the food was plentiful and tasty. The only downside was the lack of lighting in the car park. Overall, the food was great!
