This is our second visit and on each occasion we enjoyed delicious food and excellent service. We had the choice of eating indoors or outdoors both had lovely atmospheres. Nothing was too much trouble and our whole experience hard to fault! Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back. After walking to nearby Fotheringhay Castle (remains) popped in for lunch warmly received by the staff and had the best meal of my recent three week UK visit. The landlord suggested we visit nearby Stamford lovely market town I wasn’t familiar with would have stayed there but Burghley International Horse Trials were on so no vacancies. A truly authentic country pub with fantastic atmosphere situated in this pretty village. Food was absolutely superb, presentation beautiful, service fantastic smiley staff, very efficient and staff who cared about their guests and knew how to serve! Every time we visit The Red Lion whether it be lunchtime, evenings, weekdays or weekends it is always buzzing, everyone is having a great time, enjoying superb food from a great menu.
