Had a lovely meal with the Family. The meal was delicious but too much for me to eat. Very friendly staff abd efficient service.

Nice pub, beer garden next to canal. Good food. Good selection of drinks. A visit worth. Outdoor entertainment certain weekend holidays. Friendly service. Worth a visit.

The meals were hot and served promptly. Generous portions and good quality food. Staff were pleasant and friendly and the party we were with thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Fantastic meal I had bbq replacement ribs amazing decent sixteen in fact good size ribs chips were perfect. Not impressed by the pudding I chose cheesecake it was not smooth as I expected that they buy desserts in perhaps another supplier just my thoughts

Called with a friend on the off chance of getting a tablet for two. Staff were lovely, very helpful anf attentive (we're a couple of golden oldies) nothing was too much trouble, we both ordered steak which was first class and cooked exactly how we like it. Would certainly recommend and will be going there again.

Hello Hopwas! We rocked up today (without having booked) and were not turned away, even though the place is clearly very popular. We were offered the tall table, but that was ok. We had a brace of quite splendid nut roasts followed by a couple of tasty desserts. Staff were very welcoming and happy to chat. We were having a day off the veganism but there seem to be quite a few vegan options for mains so we'll probably be back next week to sample a couple of those. Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie and vegan options.

Having failed to book at another local pub we used the quick and simple online booking system used by The Red Lion. We booked a table easily for a time that suited us. The outside of the pub may be a little uninspiring but once inside we were we were greeted with a warm welcome and a nicely decorated interior. Service was quick and efficient. The menu had a reasonable range of food and the specials board had some interesting options. Our three choices included scampi and chips, pork in apple cider with mash and hunters chicken. Cosy lounge area with doors leading to well kept, tiered outdoor area. Toilets would be difficult to navigate for wheelchair users, it's a very narrow thoroughfare from the lounge that takes you the otherside of the serving area, so the barstaff know where you're off to! Toilets are clean and looked after. Pub can get busy, so for evenings and expected busy times (when sports events are on, weekends, bank holidays, etc maybe worth booking ahead. Staff have always been friendly and approachable (you know how sometimes if you try and grab a member of staffs' attention if they're on floor service and they look at you with daggers for disturbing them??
