this is our favorite, old fashion pub with great eating! the mixed Brat dinner black and bark is excellent, red hot and full taste, 10 out of 10 for eating and service.

Dont normally write reviews, but this definitely deserved one! My partner had liver and bacon and I had cottage pie! Absolutely beautiful and massive portions! Such good value for money!! Lovely cosy atmosphere!! Will defo be back!!

fun, history filled pub on the high street. typical pub fare. friendly staff and good beer/sales choice. the pub dates from the 11th century and had historical significance as an attempt to kill the conspirators, king henry w, took place here shortly before the fall from henry to angincourt. for a trip to the hometown today, a story recalls southampton. this beautiful old public house has so much history. the staff was so happy and helpful, polite and funny. eating was good and cheap. a clean, friendly place to go. bar billard table top and a beautiful papagei called molly. if they are in southampton and want history and atmosphere they visit this old pub.

a very old pub. fast quiet dug stop on the afternoon, so it was quiet. more efficient service and had some regular, which seemed very home and created a friendly atmosphere. many phone calls while we were there to book dinners, so sounds popular, but eating was not served at the time of our visit. toilets for the ladies were upstairs and the rickety old uneven stages give them the taste how old this place is or how cautious they have to drink with the amount they need!

Popped in here on a Saturday evening, a rare night out for me and the husband. The Red Lion is great! Everyone chats to everyone, the music is chosen by the customers and everyone was singing no matter what the song. Bar staff were friendly and polite. We didn't eat so can't vouch for the food, but I'm planning on going back there for lunch soon so will edit my review accordingly! Would definitely recommend The Red Lion if you like a small, friendly, local feel mixed with a lot of history. Can't wait to go back Speisekarte ansehen
