Great food at a great price found the photo in the lobby while waiting for food

Excellent meal and good portions, 2nd time I've ordered and will be back for more.

Rubbish portion sizes for the price, we paid £32. The meat in the fried rice was dry and didn't look fresh and the salt and pepper box was not worth the money (3 dry king prawns and some chips) We rang and complained but excuses were made with no solution. What has happened to this place? Once an amazing place to eat both takeaway and restaurant but now I would call it average at best. The food (our takeaway) was tasteless and cold! After 3 minutes in the microwave, one mouthful was enough for it to go in the bin. The Royal Eastern was once the best Chinese takeaway I’d ever had, it is now somewhere I will avoid. Rang and ordered my food at 7pm was told it will be hour, I rang back at 9pm to ask were my order was and they told me it was on its way, I then rang back to be informed again that they were waiting for the driver to come back and then he would bring my order 2.30 hours and no order, so I cancelled it, I would not recommend this take away to anyone, who would like there food in less then two and half hours.

After a 20 minute walk to find some cash (they only take cash) I was given someone else’s order. Luckily I discovered that before I got home. Eventually getting the right order my dish of sweet and sour chicken was disgusting. The batter was greatly undercooked and soggy and there was 2 pieces of onion and 2 pieces of pepper in a tasteless sauce. Definitely the last time we use this place. Funny enough we said that last time but it’s got even worse. Shame on you Royal Eastern.

Service was excellent, value for money was on the poor side. Crispy chicken was very crispy even after a drive home but seems to lack salt and pepper flavour. Chips also have alot of room for improvement, also had a very sparse amount of salt and pepper flavour or veg in them for the money(a few bits of the outer skin of an onion and a few bits of carrot). Would probably order again on the merit of the service being very good but my first impressions of the food are mediocre compared to other places locally Speisekarte ansehen
