"From the moment of arrival, we were welcomed enthusiastically. We arrived early but were taken to our room straight away. We were travelling with friends and they were met with the same enthusiasm. Our friends had there dogs with them and the staff couldn’t do enough to make sure they were included in everything we did, from having breakfast (complete with an extra sausage each for the dogs) or just having a drink in the bar. The rooms were lovely and clean. Lovely tea tray with nice biscuits. The products in the bathrooms were really nice as well. We ate breakfast and evening meals here over both nights which we were pleased we had as the food was exceptional. Overall we had a fantastic stay. The owners and staff were definitely the nicest and most accommodating we have experienced. We will return soon."

"our second stay in the golden lion and we have breakfast and din in the restaurant at both locations. the personal was always pleasant, attentive and helpful. the restaurant eating was good, we have a special steak and mushroom cake at one of our meal times at this opportunity cost, and it was most substantially and filling we had to go to dessert! the restaurant is a very pleasant place to eat and I appreciated the drowned thwaites beer."

"we visited here during the stay in settle. it is located on the marketplace directly opposite the co-op. Currently it has no alcoholic license, but customers are welcome to buy their own alcohol to drink on the ground. we're just for. we had a chicken chat, a few slender prawns and a neri with two chicken nandi curries and a huhn nalawi. we also had a few peshwaris and rice. we came shortly after the short time to serve as from any reason they no longer serve after eating was nice, but we couldn't do everything. the peshwari’s were the size of the dinner dish and although delicious, we left a lot. I don't knock the place because eating was great, I hope they will open later in summer holidays as they will make a fortune when they are able to sell alcohol. for those interested in kidnapping, they do."

"high quality food service. fantastic location on the outskirts of giggleswick. and eat to die. The best homemade brot is what I have ever tasted with an amazing suppe of the day. . hauptspork with crisp best I ever had. massive yorkies. also they do gluten-free eating so celiac well maintained. yorkies again for my wife were great. great atmosphere and excellent service they will get along they will not be disappointed"

"Worst Indian I have ever had. We ordered poppadoms to start (got one each priced at £5) ordered an onion Bhaji to start he asked if I wanted it with my main but I said no as a starter but it still arrived with the main course. The jalfrezi was bland, not spicy. No chillis as you would usually find in a jalfrezi. Asked for a Diet Coke with my meal it never arrived so a good job it wasn’t spicy as I ate my meal with no drink. My partner got the buffet which was stone cold. The waiters response was people keep leaving the kids open . Is this not a health and safety issue? He ordered a tikka massala from the menu instead which arrived with about 3 pieces of chicken in. Told waiter the meal was rubbish but he couldn’t care less. Avoid at all costs"
