Called in for a meal after a walk in the area, a really nice friendly pub, a the meal are really good value for money. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Only stopped in for a drink on the way to a concert venue. It was partly to get local information on where the venue was, however i felt i should have a drink. The service was good, the lady behind the bar was struggling with a previously injured had, but she was cheery and helpful with the directions as was a local sitting at the bar. We stayed at this old hotel on 13 and 14 September. On the plus side the staff were all attentive and cheerful and the rooms were clean. On the down side there were many areas of the hotel which were somewhat shabby. The Landlord has only been there since May 2023 and is working his way through a long list of matters where improvements are needed. We wish him luck. Food: 3 Speisekarte ansehen

The service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff. The food was fantastic, and I really enjoyed a nice pint of Ribblehead Bitter. It was refreshing to have rock music playing in the background instead of the usual noise. I had a great time during my visit and will definitely come back the next time I'm in the area. I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The service was excellent, and the food was incredible with generous portions at a great price. We did have to wait a bit for our meals, but that was understandable given that there were nine of us and everything is made fresh to order. I can't praise the staff enough; they were warm and welcoming. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and can't recommend this place highly enough. Thank you!

A group of 26 of us arrived on Saturday at 12:30 PM without prior notice, and the staff handled the situation admirably. They opened a separate room for us so that we could sit together, and despite having to manage orders from seven different families, they cleverly arranged for all 12 children to be served together in front of the adults. The server was wonderful with the kids, providing them with drawing materials and making an effort to keep them entertained. The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional.
