all well, but a bit old-fashioned. good eating and service here and personal vety good, would recommend, see & next year.

The sraff at the hotel were really nice.. The hotel has beautiful grounds and set in perfect location. The hotel is 3* so don't expect too much...

great location and clean inviting rooms. the breakfast was amazing to choose so much and was constantly dressed with fresh food. the staff was polite and welcoming and smiling. the view from my room was atem. will soon revisit definitiw. x

we have just returned from a long weekend in the royal victoria hotel to house, and we had a wonderful, the room was good and clean, the attention of all the staff was fantastic, nothing was too much, friendly and helpful, the eating was very good and the wine excellent, undoubtedly we will return. highly recommended.

I was not in the hotel, but had the afternoon with my family for a 90th birthday party. the staff was very friendly and accommodating, it was easy to book and when we arrived, they had set up a private area overlooking the gardens. the service and eating were both exceptional and I must say what it got for the price was amazing. would definitely recommend. thanks for making this celebration so wxtra special.

Two night stay,between Christmas and New Year,fabulous food,well presented,delicious. Room excellent, everything you need ,hair dryer,heater if cold,fan if hot.Newly decorated,fresh,clean,bed comfortable.Ensuite with shower over bath,water hot with luxury shower gel. Breakfast busy, guests in pjs .Food ,fresh,plenty of choice ,most enjoyable. All the staff...both at breakfast ,in restaurant, and on reception couldn't have been more helpful,will definitely be returning.A must is the walk around the lake with beautiful views.

I would not read very good reviews about the hotel, but we had already booked. But everything was not as bad as the reviews. both rooms were clean and well presented. mamas room was a single room and quite small, but mamas small anyway, everyone bigger can fight....Our double room was very sufficient and with beautiful toilet paper (item listed on a review.) could have been finished with a chair in the room, so all the time did not sit on the bed. bar meal was edible, not from this world, personal very friendly and the dame was on the side of the room. I felt the system to the breakfast was okay and the staff all very helpful. it is a 3 star hotel and you will get 3 star service.

Nice hotel sat prominently in the village. Very friendly staff and welcome. The string is great with ample free car parking. Food in the bar is good quality and a good selection of local ales. Breakfast is plentiful and is busy even out of season....Buffet hot breakfast with kitchen happy to do soft boiled eggs, kippers or anything within reason. Cereals, fruit croissants etc all available as are cooked meats by request. Hotel is a bit tired in places but it is of an age clearly Victorian with some spacious features. Rooms are large and bathroom is well appointed but some of the room fixtures and fittings are a tad dated. That said this is a great place to explore the area from with Llanberi...

The restaurant in this hotel has to be the best for miles for evening dinner. The dining room looked splendid. The waiter was very attentive and pleasant. All 7 of us agreed the meal was the best dinner we'd had for a long time. One...had sirloin steak, 3 had 8oz fillet steaks all cooked to perfection and accompanied by chips cooked in beef dripping, onions and mushrooms with a choice of sauces, another had turkey dinner and 2 had lamb. Gorgeous. The bedrooms were great. Lovely and warm, very clean and with comfy beds. We were so impressed we're going back in January. And, when I fancy a meal out in future, I'll go to the Royal Victoria in Llanberis. No other local restaurant comes close. Ho...
