I made a reservation at the Salterton Arms and left my contact number in advance. However, upon arrival, I was informed that the kitchen was closed. Disappointed with their service, I decided to dine at the Saddlers Arms instead, where they were very accommodating and even offered us a discount on our meal. I will not be booking with the Salterton Arms again after this experience.

Sunday roast dinner was very nice, plenty of veg and cauliflower cheese. The beef burger was very nice too. The staff were very welcoming. The place is clean. My only recommendation would be the outside front and back needs a bit of TLC, maybe this would be a future project but don't let this turn you away. I visited this restaurant on Sunday and found it to be very welcoming for both people and dogs. The food looked so delicious that we decided to return today for a meal. The staff even gave some cookies to the beautiful dogs at the bar and showered them with attention. I would recommend making a reservation if you plan on going for Sunday dinner because they were quite busy. The restaurant has new owners who took over in November, and it is an excellent pub that I highly recommend. I will definitely be returning when I am in the area again.

Yesterday, my family and I went to this restaurant with our dog and we absolutely loved it! The staff and other customers were very friendly and even informed us that dogs are welcome inside, where they even provide free treats for them. It was a nice touch! The food was delicious and reasonably priced (I tried the codjaujon sandwich). It arrived quickly and a server checked in to ensure everything was okay. Our plates were cleared promptly after we finished. The lady with red hair was beautiful and had great energy. I highly recommend this place.

We recently had lunch at this fantastic pub. The waitress who took our order was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious, and our seating area was lovely. One thing we adore about pubs in Devon is that they allow dogs inside, which is wonderful. We were the only customers without a dog, but our lovely waitress Hazel made sure to bring treats for all the dogs around us. It was a delightful sight to see them all enjoying their snacks. Hazel really stood out for her warm and welcoming attitude towards all customers, and she was a joy to chat with in addition to being an excellent waitress.
