Amazing original pub with great ales and miserable staff, the good old days approach. You won’t be disappointed, but don’t expect anything posh. Next to Berkeley Castle.

This is a regular haunt for a beer or two, the food is good as well. A friendly atmosphere and a great place to enjoy a few hours. Would I use it again....well yes I am a regular.

We broke our journey here just before Christmas looking for a quick lunch. The food, drink and service were faultless. Ham, egg, and chips, simple food cooked well, all locally sourced, can't beat it. We'll be back. It was just what we were looking for....Fantastic.

Always great beer but had a ploughman’s lunch today which consisted of slices of bread, slices of cheese, an onion and some chutney. That’s not a ploughman’s, that’s a cheese sandwich, which for was a bit cheeky I thought. A slice of...ham was an extra quid and it was pretty small for that. You can do better than this Sally!

I felt hungry and my dog decided to stop the salutation that looked like a friendly country pub. when I entered the road, I could hear a group of older men complaining about the number of foreigners who presented the reorientation. I asked. a surly victor type of mildew if dogs were allowed. Why don't you go in and find out was the kind answer. not the debt of the pubs, but there was a general hostile attitude - much the same as in an old western stood off! there was only one vegetarian option and I wish I had read the menu!
