The Schooner - Speisekarte

A nice welcoming pub that serves a lovely Sunday lunch that's very good value for money too. I definitely recommend and will be back!

After reading all the reviews about this restaurant I was looking forward to Sunday lunch. I am afraid it was very disappointing, the beef and Yorkshire pudding were excellent but the vegetables were stewed and the mashed potato was lumpy

The Sunday lunch we ordered was delivered right on time and was absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, with options for both meat and vegetarian dishes. We will definitely be ordering from here again and highly recommend it to others. Speisekarte ansehen

We stopped of here for a few days while in the area. Very friendly bar, with helpful welcoming staff. We spent New years Eve here after being there the night before and having a great night. Great music amazing food. Very friendly locals.Well worth a visit great selection of food and drink.

Absolutely shocking service ordered 3 meals over 1 hour later asked where meals were and was told at least 4 orders before ours as only 1 chef on should of been told when we ordered and would never of ordered as we were on a lunch break ended up going back to work starving by never again this time our 1st visit after been recommended

This restaurant is a hidden gem that serves delicious home-cooked meals. They offer beautiful Sunday lunches and juicy steaks with generous portions at very reasonable prices. I absolutely love this place and will definitely be returning soon. The Schooner is a great pub that serves lovely food at affordable prices, and the staff are wonderful. Well done! I recently visited the Schooner Bar for their curry night and was impressed by the old-fashioned charm and high quality service. They had a great selection of drinks including White Rat on tap. My girlfriend and I ordered two chicken curries, two servings of rice, naan bread, papadums with homemade chutney, chunky chips, and two bottles of ice-cold Cobra for only £15. The meal was excellent value for money and my spicy curry was outstanding. I highly recommend this place.

How did I not know this fantastic pud did delivery. Best take away we've had in ages.... Wife had steak pie and chips, 10/10 I had 8oz Angus cheeseburger and chips 10/10 Food arrived piping hot ! Chunky chips were amazing, burger was juicy and amazing, onion rings were crispy and so nice .... Big chunks of steak in the pie, melt in the mouth pastry, gravy was perfect, mushy peas full of flavour... And to top it off a nice bottle of red wine... Will we be returning....? Absolutely !

We went to the schooner tonight to sample some new low calorie dishes that are hoping to make it on to the new menu and they were absolutely delicious. I follow a calorie deficit and always struggle when eating out with my partner who does not follow a diet as limit restaurant offer low calorie option other than salads! Both the beef bourguignon and the Cantonese style chicken curry were delicious, filling and for me completely guilt free, both the chicken and beef had been cooked to perfection and completely melted in your mouth and with the winter coming up I think these would both be a excellent choice for your menu I would 100% be back for more. 10/10 Speisekarte ansehen
