Just popped in for a quick pint, a break after a day out , nice friendly staff, chatty locals , a good atmosphere, pity we couldn't stay longer.. Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5

best beer, best pizza you find in london, the staff is sharp and smiling, the pub is really nice and we had a really good time. the service was fast. the people there were not loud and the pub had really good music in the background

I had only one thing from her menu, and that impressed me about the English breakfast! oh, the speck was perfectly cooked. the sausages were yam. right next to the victoria stqtion you can have a complete breakfast before making a morning train.

A camping trip to remember! The owners allowed us to use a part of their garden to pitch our tent. We drank and ate there and from the very start all the staff were amazing, friendly and accommodating. The land lord even provided us with a fire pit and wood. I'm glad I found this place. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for fine dining and a simple culinary experience, but it didn't deliver anything less than what was expected. it is a fairly large pub near the Barbican tube station and had its typical steak, pommes and burger. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed by the hygiene. Nevertheless, I was impressed by the friendly waitresses who have offered us more drinks continuously. came here for cocktails rhymes: a poem/monologe open daily mic from 7-9.30pm fb cocktails andrhymes loved the venue, the small intimate space below offered the perfect ambiente. open microphone went really well, although I became quite emotional. This was my first visit with friends who live locally and as far as good pubs go the Shakespeare is right up there as one of the best. It has a warm, comfortable, homely feel like all the best traditional pubs should have and has a real family feel to the way it is being run. The staff are friendly, as were the clientele, it has sports on corner tv's that are not overly imposing, a well stocked and kept bar (the beer was excellent) and a huge garden area at the rear. We only had pub snacks which there were plenty of but apparently the food here is also very good so I Will adjust my review when I revisit and I will 100% be revisiting...what a little gem.
