Had a great time at the Star. Drag Queen Margarine was a great quiz host, and the man at the bar with an earring was super friendly. Would definitely come again.

Lovely spot for evening drinks, with nice door staff, decent music and good vibes. Alcoholic beverages are definitely cheaper than similar types of bars located closer to Shoreditch, so we visit regularly! Speisekarte ansehen

Went there for a birthday lunch then Karaoke. Brilliant in both respects: the burgers were great and the karaoke room was big enough for twelv-ish peeps and the machine was easy to use. Even I was able to sing. Ish

Went here last week for my work Christmas drinks! Not a bad area to be hired out upstairs, drinks was decent and the staff was friendly! Pool table on the mid-landing in a good area however could do with a new ques and re-felting but hey that's like most pubs with pool tables! lol

Used to play music gigs here back in the days of Libertines, Razorlight and many many more bands of the 00’s era. If you were in a band in the early 00’s (everyone was) you’d have played the pleasure unit as it was then known. Nowadays it’s a decent pub with a Kooky design and always a buzzing atmosphere. Couldn't have asked for anything more from this pub. It was a Sunday afternoon, so no super busy, but they let us come in with the dog, they let us bring in our Nandos from over the road, and they even provided us with knifes and forks. Why sit in Nandos I'd you can eat your food over the road with a pint. It's what legends are made of.

Hired the function room and celebrated my 30th birthday here everything was excellent. From the beginning, my correspondences with the team were super prompt and friendly throughout all my planning, they were great at answering all my questions. Day of, we had Billy take care of us the entire night who was incredible. He was regularly checking in with me to make sure I was having a great time and that things were going smoothly and that our bar was always stocked! Our bartenders Elizabeth and Alanna were wonderful too and made for great company they were also excellent at ensuring other people coming into the pub stayed out of my private party's way to maintain vibes (hugely appreciated). Situated on the high street about a 6 min walk away from either Bethnal Green underground or overground station. They have some seating outside, a great selection of drinks, and plenty of seating. They have 2 floors and a bar area on both levels. I've attached a video of the first floor. The first floor is where the toilets and the kareoke room are located. We booked the kareoke room on a Wednesday evening. The pub wasn't busy at the time of our arrival (7pm) but it was almost full downstairs as the evening progressed.
