"The place looks top notch, arranged with taste, clean spacious, name it you have it. Loved the shuffle boards and the snooker table. Service was quick, polite, excellent. Now the food... Visually okay and that was it. Kids pizza was defrosted (should have been) and cooked from the outside. Stone cold inside. Ice cream was a bunch of water with colouring, Calamari was haribo style and the overall feel was a bit not aligned with how great the pub, the service and the feel was. Hence the score of 4 stars."

Looks great but... -Staff hygiene is appalling, from touching bins to running food mixed with poor personal hygiene. -Food temp is a hodgepodge when on a table of more than 4 -Glassware isn't clean Absolutely no management

Dead fancy !! But the place was not ready for the amount of people !! Must of had a make over in the last year as very clean and crisp lay out . But under staffed . Good size beer garden but on a cross road not a take the kids pub

Great evening of dinner and jazz in the function room. Ideal venue, with café style layout of tables, bar get drinks and order food to table. Having done this 39 years ago with the same act (Jim Mullen), it was like coming home. Katsu chicken curry was lovely.

We had a Team Event on the 16th April 24, the room was well laid out, clean and tidy as you would expect. The food was really good, with variety and more than enough to go around. The service was absolutely great and we cannot fault it at all!! Thank you for the great service, food drink. From the BAM Nuttall team at the Guildford Sewage Treatment Works Relocation Project.

"We found ourselves in Guildford at the end of our mini-break and needed dinner. We wandered down Jeffries Passage and found Raviz. What a GEM of a restaurant. Honestly, the most gorgeous curries and Indian food we've ever had. Not bog-standard British versions of curries we've all eaten so many times over the years, but intricate, thoughtful flavours, absolute treat for the senses, so very delicious; with lots of lovely complimentary touches like the palette cleanser that came pre-dessert. Plus, we loved the decor front of house, so many lovely touches. If there was a tweak needed behind the scenes, perhaps the toilets needed a bit of an upgrade, and we did end up waiting longer than we thought for dessert (only because we needed to get back on the road home , but the food was divine and the staff so lovely. Compliments and Thanks to the Chef and all at Raviz. We would definitely make our way back to Guildford for another meal at Raviz. "I absolutely adore this place. It's the best coffee shop in Guildford. The coffee is fantastic and the service is top-notch. We dined in for lunch and the price per person was between £1-10. The food, service, and atmosphere all deserve a 5-star rating. I highly recommend trying the Baklava, as it's delicious. For vegetarians, there are plenty of clearly labeled options on the menu. "What makes an independently owned business different from a big name brand? The owner cares. They care alot and do their best to serve customers as if their livelihood depends upon it. Because it does! Freshly cooked delicious food. No fuss. Clean and well presented. No you wont get haut cuisine. But you will leave comfortably full and with a smile on your face. "Went with friends this week. Service was terrible. The lady serving us couldn’t have been less interested. Table booked for 20:15 and it was clear they wanted us out as soon as possible. Maybe the staff aren’t getting enough sleep as every staff member looked tired and indifferent. Asked for a panang and chicken and was surprised to see it wasn’t some they did. The first Thai restaurant in 30 years that doesn’t do it. The food that did come was dry and nor executed very well. Been in the past and remember it as good. Will definitely not be back."

"We opted for the Sharing Menu for Two, featuring a vegetarian selection and the chef's special picks, along with a Piña Colada—perfectly sweet, just the right balance. I also shared an Espresso Martini with a friend, and it was absolutely delicious! The meal started with a basket of pita and homemade bread, accompanied by tzatziki and aubergine cream. The bread was beautifully presented, and I also sampled the aubergine cream. I never expected such a fantastic combination! Next, we tried the Dolmadakia, which were delightful, and the feta filo fried cheese spring rolls drizzled with honey were a highlight—so tasty! The chicken tacos featured tender pork shreds that tasted incredibly fresh and full of flavor. I also enjoyed the Aubergine Imam; although I'm not usually a fan of onions, they were cooked down until soft and the sauce masked the onion's flavor quite well—not bad at all! The barbecue-glazed pork souvlaki was truly exceptional—definitely a 10/10! It was the perfect mix of sweet and savory. To finish off, I ordered dessert: a pistachio cake with cinnamon white chocolate sauce. I found it a bit too sweet for my taste; however, those who enjoy sweeter treats may want to give it a try.
