"came over this jewel of a place while they were looking for somewhere to eat. what a good idea! great, great staff and more food! I wish we had found it years ago at previous visits on the island. highly recommended and will definitely be back! we had rumpsteak with homemade chips and pfefferminz. must come bck to try the tempting specials. keep the great works young and gals that they deserve the full 5 stars."

excellent eating and atmosphere at this. the beer garden is large with many tables and magnificent views of the distance of forests, seas and cliffs beyond. service is courteous and attentive with our menu adjustments agreed with a smile. I'm sorry it was too good to go cold! Speisekarte ansehen

We had an early dinner here on Saturday before heading back to the ferry and it was great. It is a lovely pub with a large restaurant and great views of the surrounding countryside and the South coast of England in the distance. The staff were very welcoming and the service was very good. If you are on the Isle then I would definitely recommend.

We visited this restaurant for Sunday dinner after a lovely walk to admire the bluebells in Mottistone. The weather was beautiful and sunny, which made the outdoor seating even more enjoyable, especially with the lovely live acoustic music. The staff were very friendly and helpful, despite the place being busy. I would have preferred to sit on the pink side, but the food was still delicious. Thank you!

"The food at Burr's restaurant is top quality and offers excellent value. The service is both efficient and friendly, with nothing to criticize. We were thrilled to have chosen Burr's as one of the four restaurants to dine at during our short holiday on the island. My wife and I opted for the fixed-price 3-course menu, which offered a wide variety of options. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary olives and breadsticks at the start of our meal. Even better, we were able to choose any item from the dessert menu, rather than being limited to a few options. The desserts were both refreshing and beautifully presented. "We visited IOW for my boyfriends birthday and we visited on a Tuesday. As soon as we walked in we were greeted very warmly by the guys they were so welcoming. Everything was explained to us and they really could not have been more helpful. I'm gutted to say I didn't catch all of their names but the guys who we saw that day really made our experience of visiting a games cafe for the first time one we will never forget. There was one particular guy, aaron (I hope I have spelled this correctly! And my goodness he was so helpful with how to play games and always checking if we were OK. He is a complete asset to this business! We stayed there pretty much all day. The range of games they have is incredible, the place itself is kept so clean. The cocktails are amazing! Particularly the ticket to ride (Woo Woo we also ate here, we had the Cuban baguette which my bf had and he said it was one of the nicest baguettes he's ever had. I had the philly steak on wedges, absolutely delicious. We will be visiting the IOW again in the near future and we will 100% be returning. If you are looking for a very relaxed place to sit and forget about the world outside whilst playing some amazing boardgames, and have some of the friendliest people cater to you this is your place. "We had our Christmas get together at the Newport (Isle of Wight) Slug and Lettuce tonight. All I can say is that the team there were incredible in making us feel welcome and special guests . "A lovely spot overall. The food is decent and reasonably priced. The service is quite satisfactory; there was a minor mix-up when ordering at the bar, but the waitress and kitchen staff readily corrected it after serving the food. Overall, it's a pleasant and straightforward place to dine. While parking is limited, there is a nearby short-stay car park that offers one hour of free parking. Price per person: £10–£20."

"It was lovely. Lovely staff. Amazing meal. Really good prices. It was our first visit but a great place to spend our anniversary! I had pork belly, other half had katsu curry. Puddings were salted caramel cheesecake and I had chocolate fondant! Tasted so good, really generous portions too! The place was very cosy and quaint."
