"Chose this location as a long overdue catch up with friends as we’d been here previously some years ago. Warm welcome from our server we were seated waited to order. Service was very friendly but very slow presume that was down to staffing levels rather than anything else. Drinks in particular are very slow to arrive we even had to chase an order at one point. Food can only be described as average expensive for what you get. One dish, a hoisin duck pizza was presented without the hoisin sauce but was smothered with garlic butter. Not what was ordered it turned out they’d run out of sauce but hadn’t bothered to either let us know or take it off the menu. Fries were offered accepted as an apology but we were left feeling rather underwhelmed the pizza itself was poor in both value quality. Puds were ordered again, apart from the hot drink/small pud combo, were small definitely not value for money. The final disappointment was the overcharging of an item not ordered on the bill. Even with a £10 voucher applied and the overcharge removed, we were left feeling there’s very litte value for money/quality at this particular establishment for the first time in a long time, no tip was left."

Watch out for thd cheeky service charge, was not notified of this until we got home and found £34.20 service charge on to of our bill, they should make us aware before booking...

Came here again and certainly not disappointed on second visit in 4 months. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, food delicious, great value for money and served very quickly. Will be returning very soon.

Fabulous meal for my Birthday with my husband. In our favourite pub. The food drink and ambience was perfection. Served by Ben, who is very attentive and the perfect gentleman. An asset to the pub. We can’t wait to come back.

We went last night and had an amazing meal. The crackling with my belly pork was the best I've ever had and my husband really enjoyed his fillet steak. The staff are very friendly and most attentive and helpful. We will definitely be going back very soon.

We went to celebrate two birthdays. We had booked the private dining room. Our server Dannii was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was really good. The sea bass and prawns were not overcooked. Some of the party had the forestiere chicken which was very tasty. Everyone enjoyed the starters, mains and puddings. We would definitely recommend and eat there again.

Another big chain charging ridiculous prices for non alcoholic options. Lucky Saint 330ml bottle is £5.10 making it probably the 1st or 2nd most expensive lager per pint on offer if u work it out per 568ml. More expensive than Peroni and Asahi, with 5 alcohol and then those drinks are subject to government duty where as 0.5 beers are exempt. There is growing demand for many more non alcoholic options these days and can’t see why prices can not be more competitive and realistic. If they are priced correctly they would sell much more. I doubt many bottles will be selling at £5.10 for just over a half pint of lager which is disappointing given the semi rural nature of its location and lots of p...
