The food is delicious and the location is fantastic. I have already made a reservation to return next month. It's a wonderful spot to gather with friends and family.

Had a very nice lunch here today. The roast beef and chicken dinners were excellent. The chicken burger was also very good. Delightful puddings. One of the best Sunday Lunches about. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Service excellent. Very nice surroundings.

This was our first visit after the refurb all of the character in the restaurant has gone also children were making themselves heard very loudly why not have a separate space for children with young families/ children I don't want to hear kids crying and creating whilst the parents let them run wild back and forth to the toilets wont be back Speisekarte ansehen

We have been coming here for years and since the new owners have taken over we have been impressed by the quality of the refurbishment and the continued customer service from long standing and new staff. In the early months since reopening the one slight negative has been the menu. No longer, new specials sheet, in addition to the main menu, has transformed the food offer. 10/10.

Our first stay at The Tempest Arms. Such a great place! it really did tick all the boxes, and had everything that we would look for in a hotel. Our twin suite was really lovely. Beautifully decorated lovely and clean. Restaurant food is of a high standard. Every member of staff that we met went over above to make us feel welcome and well looked after. Will definately be staying again!

The restaurant has an excellent standard of decor and is impeccably clean. It is also very welcoming to dogs. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. One of them recommended a fantastic beer for me and a lovely wine for my wife. The menu is diverse and everything looked delicious. Disappointed, ordered the Thai prawns at £8.95 for 4. They were overcooked, the batter was hard and the prawns rubbery. Followed by the chicken thighs, again overcooked and dry. There were a lot of occupied tables outside and a large group gathering somewhere. Not many booths or tables were occupied, plenty of staff front of house so maybe a problem in the kitchen. Second recent visit, the first time the food my friend and I ate was good, I would not recommend on the last experience.

Our first visit to this pub which has obviously had a recent refurb I imagine any old character has now been replaced with a more corporate modern look which is pleasant but not interesting. The staff greeted us warmly and were friendly. My wife had 2 fish starters which she really enjoyed. I ordered the fish and chips which was okay but the fish looked like it had been on a diet and hadn't been rested so it was sitting in grease. The local bitter was superb and the service was very good. £45 for the two of with drinks was value for the price paid. We will visit again

We have not been to the Tempest Arms since before it was refurbished, as our last meal there was not enjoyable. Unfortunately, things have not improved. The atmosphere of the place is nice, with a cozy country pub feel and a welcoming log fire. However, the food was very disappointing. The starters were basic and unappealing, with the chicken pate looking like it had just been taken out of its packaging and the crab crostini lacking in flavor. The main dishes were a mix of good and bad, with the rump steak being cooked well but the steak salad being inedible and lacking in flavor.
