"Once I got off the bus at M&S with no taxis available, I hobbled to the nearest pub, The George, just 50 yards away, hoping a pint of HPA would help ease my knee. Unfortunately, that didn’t do the trick. However, the kind staff at The George (and their sister bar, The Lion, across the street) came to my rescue by giving me a lift to my car (don’t worry, it’s an automatic). They were truly wonderful, and I can’t thank them enough! Lifesavers. Service: 5 stars."

"This is my first visit to Millers Arms in the Village of Mather. It is a lovely place for a drink or a meal with plenty of tables inside and in the garden area. Hand sanitise is available as you enter and face masks must be worn in the bar area. The tables and seating is all socially distanced. Friendly staff warm and welcoming. Menu has a lovely selection of food for all appetites. The Gammon, peas, 2 eggs and tripple fried chips was excellent. I would recommend this meal. There is a large Marquee outside in the garden if you want to sit outside and it starts to rain. A children's play area with a climbing frame and slide are just at the side of the garden. There is a small car parking area in front but at the back of The Miller Arms is a large parking area that you can access every area on the flat no need for steps. I certainly will be visiting again, try it for yourself... well worth it."

"During our stay in Sedbury, we discovered the Village Inn and thought it would be the perfect spot for our first night. We were certainly not disappointed. Firstly, our dog was warmly welcomed inside, which was a great plus. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We opted for a three-course meal and were very satisfied with both the food and the service. The special burger was excellent and packed with flavor. My favorite part was dessert; the Eton mess was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend you visit this place. Thank you so much—we'll definitely be back!"

"Entrance is down a flight of steps as the restaurant is in the basement/cellar and it's made to look like a cavern. A row of bench tables to seat 4 down either side. Wasn't very busy on our visit, which was a first for my wife and I but not for the other couple. An extensive menu, which took a while, so popadums and pickles, sauces and onion salad was required to help make choices and when it arrived there was no disappointment as all plates were clear. Great food at a great price, will be planning to make a return visit."

"We had one of the best restaurant experiences here. The food was fantastic, with a wide range of seafood options and a great kids menu. The staff were friendly, the location by the river was wonderful, and the atmosphere and design of the restaurant were very pleasing. My wife and kids thought it was the best looking restaurant due to the decor. There were four or five options on the kids menu, and the portion sizes were good with amazing quality and taste. The price per person was between £10–20."
