"Absolutely totally and utterly satisfied, we were disappointed that the burger didn't come with chips, but the more we ate the less we cared- standard burger and a Mac and cheese from the bar menu and we're stuffed- divine dining and a great drinks selection, very dog friendly and a separate doggy food menu which is such a nice touch- amazing service and to top it off the heaters stay on beyond your departure- no need to press the button every 5 seconds. Incredible happy with everything from start to finish, speedy delivery on the food and just a lovely place to sit and eat. Menu prices are scary at first but actually very very reasonable for what you get. Will definitely be coming back."

Excellent setting and service. A few mains missing off menu so had to change choice but an excellent venue and place to dine

Great food (including for two vegetarians peas with attitude), excellent service, atmosphere full of character, and altogether very enjoyable evening. Chose to be inside, but garden also looks lovely.

Very disappointed, pie looked mass produced and full of gristle. The herb mash was tasty, but so full of garlic, I was still enjoying it that evening. And all in all felt the meal was not value for money.

Had lunch here on a Sunday before going to Duxford American Air Show with some American friends. Had accidentally found this place some time ago and it was so good then that it seemed a really good choice for our visitors. It was.

What could be better than in the company of loved ones in a restaurant with a menu from which the most important lady in your life says she could choose anything, food that corresponds to the description and 'off the beaten track' wines from the southwest through the glass or through the bottle to bathe the experience?

Great quirky place to visit for a nice lunch or evening meal. Good choice of food on the menu, and exceptionally fresh and tasty well presented food. The only let down on this occasion was the service from start to finish was incredibly slow, hence why we didn't bother waiting any longer ordering deserts. Hopefully this was a one off and will return again one day.

The atmosphere at the Tickell is a balance between being contemporary and steeped in history. Lovely building with odd shaped windows. Bar was welcoming and the restaurant was lit which made the evening ambiance just right to lose yourself. It felt as if we were there in out own private restaurant. No music playing just the hum of people enjoying good food and company. We had a memorable experience.

Visited with the family, in a rainy day after a day trip to Duxford IWM. Mains were tasty, but nothing spectacular. Deserts were bellow expectations, particularly the chocolate delice. Service was nice, very polite waiters, but the wait for all the dishes was horrendous. The backgardem with the pond offers nice views, and expect it to be amazing in a dry day. Due to the long waiting times and nothing spectacular in the food section I do not recommend the venue.
