Toucan Cafe - Speisekarte

I’m so lucky to have Toucan in my local town. Delicious food with lots of vegan choices. I had probably the best soup I’ve ever tasted there! Really recommend.

So impressed! It wasn't over the top. It is also a beautiful café with really beautifully made decoration, colors, art work etc. A great, cozy feeling. The food is delicious.

Amazing salads, soups, tofu burgers, cakes and specialties etc. provide veggie and vegan, but no meat that is Fab. Common feeling, book playback rule always warm and welcoming.

Have been several times now and experience has been inconsistent. Vegan options limited lots of vegetarian options. Soup was great one time another time it was served luke warm and not great. Vegan Sandwich pleasant Coffee great plant milks available. Will keep going and sharing feedback. Nice to have it in Minehead. Nice pleasant location and ambience

We were very happy to find a vegetarian restaurant in Minehead on Happy Cow. The food was great we ate here twice during our Somerset stay) . We had great burgers vegan cheese option) and cakes and marvelous smoothies . All vegetarian and vegan options well described. The restaurant is above the shop on the main road in the town center. The decor and atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. Thank you Toucan and Happy Cow

Often pop into Toucan when visiting Minehead, the cafe is above the well stocked shop and is an oasis above the high street. Vegan items on the menu and many Vegetarian dishes can be ‘veganised’ on request. I ordered the Tofu burger and salad today and was astonished to find the ‘burger’ was actually a large slab of tofu so despite my best efforts I had to share it with my companion as I couldn’t manage it all. Mixture of fresh salads were fresh and flavourful.

No wonder this place has a Certificate of Excellence. We had caught the steam train to Minehead, and trying our best to avoid the dull, tourist-trap menus near the station, walked along The Avenue and onto The Parade. Finally, we spotted the Toucan Cafe. Hearty sandwiches, and huge, filling soups. Wonderful. And a good selection of plant-based milks: soya, almond, oat etc. We wanted to stay for afternoon tea, and try some of their yummy looking cakes, but the last train home beckoned. We will be back.

Visit Toucan Cafe every time I come to Minehead (Somerset is missing in many vegan cafes/restaurants). The food is always fresh and well prepared and everything is clearly marked on the menus and on the wall. Always many specialties and cakes too. Between us three we had today the cream tea (vegetaric), the cunning tofu with mushrooms on toast (vegan) and the Mediterranean Veg Pesto sandwich with a chocolate and avocado smoothie (both vegetarian). I had the tofu I could eat through the truck (9/10). Edit: another visit, another tofu sculpted tofu! Also tried the oat milk seasoned Chai Latte, which was beautiful. Toucan has been my go to place for obtaining vegan produce for nearly eight years. If there's anything they don't have in stock then they will gladly order it for you. Since the pandemic began I have taken to pre-ordering by phone, so that my order just needs paying for when I visit the shop. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. The shop went through a difficult period when the original owner, Sally, sold the business on, but happily Toucan seems to be back to its indispensable self once more. Oh, and it's the ONLY place where I can obtain my favourite vegan sausages, as they are not stocked by supermarkets and not sold by the manufacturers! May Toucan continue to shine...
