The Village Inn Buriton

Lovely food at very reasonable prices. Service was very attentive but not pushy. Genuinely interested to know we had enjoyed our meal.

Food served at breakfast was mouldy , service was awful in the evening , food medioca. Food and service were dreadful, and certainly do not stay here !

Too bad the place was empty. only a few more came when we were there. disappointed that there was only one steak pudding, but the hophead bier was excellent.

we had a very nice lunch the room was compact, but clean perfect for our needs was good we left the feeling that every penny, if possible, was subliminal worried about what led to a slightly tense atmosphere in the restaurant during the breakfast

beautiful atmosphere personal was friendly and helpful. they checked how we enjoyed eating and we even had a visit from the cook! our 8 month olds also enjoyed themselves. I would recommend the village inn. it was a scandal that it was not a real hidden gem. Speisekarte ansehen

Utterly outstanding food. Everything we had was delicious and cooked with care. It was lovely to see the chef out of the kitchen asking about the food, which was a real credit to his skill. The ambience was perfect, service friendly and helpful, my only quibble is the price, but you get what you pay for. 11/10, will certainly return!!

Sadly charmless service and told we needed to order quickly as a large table was coming in, which didn't appear? Seemed they were too keen to finish up. Food was okay, Chowder very good but steak tender but lacked flavour, didn't taste 28 days aged. Contrast breakfast the following morning, different crew who were very good, charming and accommodating. Although asked for poached eggs and got fried... Shame as has potential

This is a difficult review. The food, including steaks, was great. The problem is whether it's worth the price. The steak I had was really good. Well cooked. Good flavour. For your £25 (cheapest) you do just get a steak and on a Wednesday lunchtime fries not chunky chips. The burger and fish chips was also good and freshly cooked. We were the only diners. No atmosphere. This is a problem. I think there's something good here but it needs some support and possibly a cheaper lunchtime menu to attract some customers. Speisekarte ansehen
