"I've been coming to the Harrow for 30 years and it sets the benchmark for every other pub I try. It's a beautiful building with a big table at which the locals always invite you to join them and large fireplace taking up most of the main room. The garden is great too, or you can sit out the front of the pub. The landladies run the pub perfectly, one front of house and the other in the kitchen, where food is cooked in/on an Aga. It's a limited menu but delicious and most of it served with a big slab of warm bread. Beer is local and comes straight from the barrel. A warning it's cash only, so come prepared."

Lunch is simple , it’s a ploughman’s, you get lovely fresh bread a big chunk of cheese butter and salad . A little more chutney/ pickle would go amiss.

Lovely English pub tucked away in the country side, and has not been modernised. It has managed to keep old traditions plus wonderful atmosphere. Great home cooked food.

we just love to go back the simple style of the pub as in the time. great ales and great eating. we often radiate there and enjoy them sitting in the garden. personal are great and take them an interest

Simple but delicious food, great beer and a lovely atmosphere...everything a good British pub should offer can be found at The Harrow Inn. Leave the modern world behind and delight in this charming and unspoilt pub. Make sure you take cash as it doesn't accept cards.....another plus.

Such a unique, friendly pub (fortunately our Local! Lovely log fire in the bar during the winter and beautiful garden to sit in during the Spring/Summer. Rustic Meals are always generous in size and are home-cooked on the premises. Well worth a visit especially if looking for a beautiful area to walk in for the #walk1000miles challenge.

Our cycling group incorporated a long distance ride here. A pilgrimage to this perfectly preserved pub (could have been 1922 not 2022). Food was amazing. Simple, generous and exceptional ingredients. Exquisite ale! Fascinating interiors, but due to a warm day/filthy from the ride we were outside amidst the sectioned cottage garden planting.

as a stranger I have little experience with pubs. but when I was introduced into the harrow pub, I was thrilled and amazed what seemed to be the real ding. Not what I find to be a common village pub, not a city pub as found in petersfield, but a place where someone like mr. j. r. tolkien might have enjoyed to go with friends to smoke his pfeife to just drink and talk to literature. real people. real ales and drink. real interieur, which speaks of many years of use and abuse and human occupation. the suppe and the brot are also not bad.
