A gem of a Restaurant, Sunday lunch is second to none, and their cheesecakes are to die for. Paella is probably the best in the area. Very much recommended.

I had a lovely Christmas Dinner at the Waterfront hotel in Deal. Excellent food ,price very reasonable , a glass of non alcoholic bubble to begin with. Cannot fault their presentation and attention to detail. I look forward to eating here, knowing the food service and staff are excellent. Speisekarte ansehen

The steak and kidney pie was extremely disappointing. It contained two very large cartilage pieces that were difficult to chew, rock-hard kidney pieces, and tough, stringy beef. The waiter, who was very nice, explained that the chef claimed the cartilage added flavor to the dish (which we found ridiculous). There was no apology from the chef and he did not have the courtesy to speak to us directly about the issue.

We made a good decision by choosing this restaurant for an affordable meal. The waitress was delightful and full of cheer. The service was satisfactory. The food was well-cooked, delicious, and served on hot plates. The menu offered a good variety and there were also daily specials. My only critique would be that the dining room didn't have much atmosphere, possibly due to the lack of subdued lighting. Overall, it was a pleasant place with great food.

We have been having our group Christmas meal here now for a number of years and we cannot fault anything from the initial booking to having our meal. The service, quality of food and price are excellent. We would like to say that Spencer was outstanding looking after all of us, making sure everything was served hot to getting our drinks etc. A nice touch was the glass of Prosecco and little dishes of chocolates to finish a most enjoyable evening. Sunday lunch. Good value, nicely cooked and presented with plenty to eat. However, desserts are a bit of a letdown. In my view Sherry Trifle really needs, um, trifle and Sherry! A glass flute of tinned fruit, jelly and custard really doesn’t cut it! Even a taste of Sherry would have lightened my mood but I couldn’t taste any. Not a drop! I brought my unhappiness to the attention of the waiter who, taking it personally, argued that there was, in fact Sherry. I assured him there was none! The atmosphere turned icy! Hint: arguing with customers is not conducive to a good tip!

I had a pleasant stay at the waterfront hotel. The drive down was enjoyable and I parked up the road, where I downloaded the app to pay for parking - it cost $9.80 for the day. The welcome was warm and the sea view was beautiful. I had a cup of tea before heading out to explore the town, enjoying a few drinks in local bars and grabbing a bite to eat. The sheets in my room were clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was a bit slow, but it got the job done. The full English breakfast was delicious, alongside orange juice and cereals, all while overlooking the sea and pier. The last time I reviewed this restaurant was in 2016 and we have since eaten many meals here and frequently recommended it. However, today for the first time we were a disappointed. Maybe we chose the wrong items... My husband wanted the mackerel starter but unfortunately there wasn't any left so he was offered blanchbait instead, which he enjoyed. He followed up with calamari but found them rubbery and tasteless. I usually have the pork belly and crackling but today I fancied roast beef with all the trimmings, including a gluten-free Yorkshire pudding.
