We had a table for 30 people to celebrate my parents diamond anniversary. The food excellent especially for so many.

Just had My 77th birthday do at the wheatsheaf it was amazing every person cleared their plate the food was delicious. We had a waitress who looked after our every need checking if more drinks were required. I’ve had a memorable birthday with people that I love and a pub that made the whole experience first class

The steak was cooked as per requested. My cod and chips were nice, but the cod was slightly crispy, overcooked Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair access is good and they have disabled toilets also. We had a problem when visiting for a Sunday lunch at the start of the Christmas menu . We ended up paying for courses that were not supplied no gluten free option) we had confirmed two people in our group were gluten free at the time of booking. We wrote to the head office and took a copy of our letter into the pub. No one has ever come back to us. We were made to feel very embarrassed when trying to sort out the bill. So disappointing. We took my husband's elderly aunt who lives just around the corner, for lunch. She hadn't ever been but as it was walking distance and they were dog friendly, it was our only choice. We were made very welcome, the food and wine were excellent and we had a really lovely visit. The young waitress was delightful. Next time we get a day off and can treat his auntie to lunch, we will definitely be back with our little dog. Thanks very much x Price per person: £20–30

Booked for a group of art friends, there were about 14 of us. I had never been to the pub before so was a bit worried, but the service was good considering the the size of the group. Every enjoyed the food and it came out at the same time except two people which they gave a free dessert to. The staff said that the Sunday roast is good so I booked a couple of weeks later for my daughter’s birthday (10 of us) I’m sorry to say that it wasn’t very good it was a shame perhaps we should have gone for the other menu. Will return for lunch but not for a Sunday roast.

We had planned to go somewhere else and this was a spur of the moment decision. Our waitress was Izzabelle who is a wonderful young lady, she was very patient as some of us made a few alterations to our meals, nothing was too much. She was very friendly and accommodating. I just wanted to take this opportunity to give a shoutout to Izzabelle. We were also attended to by Tammy who was great too and very warm and friendly. I did make a comment thinking she was the manager because she had an air of being management. The food was better than expected with a varied menu that also had a couple of lovely vegan desserts, I recommend the Vegan cheesecake delicious. We sat outside and it was pleasant...
