The staff at this restaurant is very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and the location next to the canal creates a very relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely be returning.

We had a great experience at this charming bar with very welcoming staff and delicious beers. We enjoyed our time sitting outside by the canal in the sun. The pizza we ordered was excellent and the two girls working there made us feel right at home. We will definitely be returning again.

Called in today with another couple, the staff were really friendly and helpful….the men ordered the pulled burger with fries and homemade slaw….both myself and sister in law had quesadillas….mind bbq brisket the other spiced chicken with fries an slaw….oh and desserts to…the food was...lovely…..will definitely be calling again.

I planned to meet up with friends who were visiting the Lake District from Scotland. I was expecting the pub to have more of a focus on food. I ordered the ultimate burger with meat from a local butcher, which was tasty, but the rest of the food was just average. The service was slow, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. We chose to sit outside because there was no atmosphere inside. The coffee and tea were instant with tea bags. Overall, it was a disappointment - not particularly cheap, and I couldn't understand why it had received five-star reviews.

Wonderfully warm welcome from the staff in the White Bull. I was absolutely shocked at the value for money and fabulous service at this lovely pub that backs on to the canal. From the moment I walked into the pub, the lovely staff were very welcoming and attentive, making sure I was informed of all the specials and offers available. We opted for the £15 burger and pint and had realistic expectations for what we would receive. What was served was a fabulous, crispy coated, perfectly cooked moist chicken breast burger and beautiful fries, that I only just managed to finish. In my opinion, The White Bull is superb value for money and would highly recommend this pub. Thank you so much for exceed...

Met here with ex colleague. Initially tried to contact them. Phone no online wasn’t available so called green man which heard owned it and they didn’t have a no and sold last year. Place quite empty n soulless. Had hopes as said it have been done up since we last came but the yellow and black decor was quite unsettling. Needed brightening up with white !! Also got whiffs of dog and bleach which was quite overwhelming. Food ok as a group we had to go one by one n order and they came out one by one too which wasn’t a big problem but different than most pubs. Didn’t get why there was a specials board in the ladies toilet cubicle!?? The bench seating was low with tables and felt a bit like a chi...
