"What a lovely place to stay and eat! Such a lovely location and great locals. The food is UNREAL, the seafood linguini was to die for! And the steak and ale pie was the best I’ve ever had! Such a lovely rich ale filling OMG!!! Nuno and Jess are legends! Get down there for some food, a great atmosphere and maybe some of their shots. The baby Guinness and jam doughnuts went down a treat Rooms: Lovely room, comfy and quiet. Food drinks: Amazing, beautiful food and the hosts were next level! What a charming little bed and breakfast! The staff were wonderful, and the breakfast was excellent! Our room was beautiful, and we stayed for four nights with my two children, who absolutely loved it. They slept wonderfully, and I did as well! The landlord even brought out a guinea pig for my boys to see and pet, which was such a sweet touch! The whole team was delightful, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Chester. Plus, the room had a fridge, which was really convenient! Rooms: 5, Service: 5, Location: 5.

"We love Ring o’ Bells. The food choices are excellent and although I’m veggie, sometimes vegan, I’m always spoiled for choice! Last night we had the fantastic pizza off of 2for1. I had the spinaco which was a great choice, tho for me, I would have liked a bit more spinach! The pizza was cooked to perfection. My partner had the Quatro formaggio (his favourite) and he said it was the best yet!! Service was excellent with food and drinks- lovely house red wine at the correct temperature. A family with children sat by us and though some may have thought they were a little lively at 8pm, we enjoyed their joyful interactions. Thank you once again to the Ring o’ Bells team"

"I had a fantastic meal at this restaurant. I ordered the chicken tikka, my partner had half of the Sunday roast, and our friend enjoyed a great veggie curry. The beer and wine selection was top-notch. This is a fabulous, authentic local pub that you shouldn't miss. The staff were very accommodating with vegetarian options. The average cost per person is £30-40. I would give the food a rating of 5 out of 5."

"I almost didn’t want to share this hidden gem, but I have to! The food is incredible and the atmosphere is beautiful. I first dined here six years ago when I was staying next door, and it was just as good then. They had been closed since before COVID, but they’ve since expanded their space and capacity. Thankfully, this hasn’t affected the quality of the dishes. Sometimes, when restaurants expand, it can lead to a drop in quality, but that’s not the case here. During a recent hotel stay in Chester, we chose to eat here instead of at the hotel, and we loved it so much that we returned again the next day on our way home. It’s a true treasure that I need to visit more often. Thank you!"

"Could not rate this place any higher. Turned up without a booking so sat outside ready to order when one of the young girls who worked there,(very friendly, and never got her name), offered us a table in the teepee, as they had a cancellation. What a fantastic, atmosphere, with the open log fire. All food and drink arrived and was absolutely delicious. Thank you for a great end, to an already great day, (just completed crocky trail down the road)."
